at age 25 and after going undrafted in 2022 out of Bowling Green daquin plen has worked on his craft so much and so admirably that he had to be taken out early versus the suns in the summer league cuz it just became obvious that his health should not be risked against this level of competition at 66 216 plowden gave the sun summer league team way more than they could handle he put up 19 points super quick super easy barely an inconvenience and showed the ability to score in a multitude of ways at first his stats pop because of the three-point performance cuz obviously three for four is awesome in limited minutes but you would be so wrong to assume that he’s just some three-point shooter the warrior scouting team really deserves flowers for this addition and let’s be honest finding a solid role player from the g-league couldn’t have happened for them at a better time after losing clayon in free agency to the Dallas Mavs which still feels insane to say there’s going to be a lot of shots available for somebody ready and able to step up and show that they’re worthy of taking these shots I think you should keep an eye on plowden for such a role obviously filling clay shoes will be a losing battle for anyone that tries but you got to start somewhere and I don’t think dayquan starts anytime soon but considering he shot 39% from three last season with the magic g-league team he does seem to fit that shooter role you got to at least run him out there and see if he can do it he’s got a serious mid-range game too and his shooting does not need to be stationary catch and shoot style he can really pull up off the dribble nicely and as far as athleticism goes I mean the difference is Stark to say the least I think it’s safe to say he’ll be way more effective at The Rim as well dude has bounce that clay probably really never had let’s be honest he’s not just a scorer though that’s the funny thing to me he also helps a lot with rebounds and putbacks the Warriors have recently been one of the smaller teams in the NBA so another rebounder helps there for sure and he’s a really good passer which is going to fit into Golden State’s culture I’m just saying Bravo Warriors this kid can slash to the rim with the ball and cuts well enough to make the defense pay a defense that likely will have their hands overflowing with responsib abilities trying to stop Steph who and this is a video for another time I think is going to go absolutely crazy this season with all those extra shots available and it’s obvious that the Warriors brass already understand what they have with this kid normally you don’t see unknown players get held out of action like this I’m sure Warriors fans know about him but I can assure you everyday NBA fan has no idea who or how good he is I was paying so much attention to the sun’s embarrassing play that I didn’t even realize how bad plowden was cooking them but after watching the replay it made perfect sense why they would play it safe with his health tell me what you guys think about dayquan plowden on the Warriors thanks for hanging out I’ll see you guys soon
