[Linn] Lawrence Frank confirmed Paul George was initially offered two years / $60M, but that was in addition to his $50M player option. Frank said the Clippers then upped their offer to PG without asking once they added James Harden.

Two years /60m but with a 50m player option?

    What does that mean?

I’m assuming they purposefully pissed him off hoping he’d leave and offer the Kawhi deal at the end just to say they tried.  They know PG gets into his feelings and no sane person would’ve thought that initially deal was going to be be received well from PG

Sounds like some mumbo jumbo to make it look nicer for the clipper side.

The 50mil player option was already PGs to opt into. This wasn’t a new offer. They offered him 2yr 60mil of new money after that.

Clippers knew they were heading for a fall out when they offered that

Frank needs to be fired just for putting forward that egregious offer. Talk about bad faith.

You guys are full of cope in here and it’s hilarious. The 50M is irrelevant it was part of his old deal. They offered him 2/60M. Trying to frame it as 3/110 is crazy.
