He was the best player on the championship team at a premium position and doesn’t get the initial invite. Strange but fine.
Then Kawhi pulls out where Jaylen is a reasonable facsimile at least positionally and they replace him with Jaylen’s teammate Dwhite who is a smaller guard and until last year was essentially a nice rotation player and nothing more.
So this dude gets passed over for an inferior player/teammate who had 1 good year which doesn’t compare to his and plays a different position than the guy he’s replacing.
