Yes, that’s the whole point. All these deals with random streaming apps takes games away from the local providers aka MSG.
One day, Clyde and Breeny should switch clothes one game, and dress like the other.
It’s the media rights deal, not the CBA, but yes, there will be fewer games on MSG with Mike and Clyde as a result.
I didn’t read this yet, but don’t the Dolan’s own the MSG channel? Less games on MSG may impact their bottom line more than the other owners who don’t have their own station.
It’s the media rights deal but we’re going to less of Clyde anyway. He’s 79 and naturally he’s not going to be able to or want to go on the road as much. We’ll probably get him for all the home games aside from his vacations and ‘local’ road games to BKN, Philly, Boston, etc.
We now have to have 3 three streaming services and MSG plus, the NBA package will have the Knicks blocked locally. This is serious bullshit.
I love Breen and Clyde as much as anybody, but fuck RSN’s. They’re useless and blackout rules are stupid and ridiculous. I shouldn’t have to pay $90 per month because I need a cable package that gives me MSG, when I can get League Pass for $15 per month and a non-sports live tv streaming package for like $30 per month.

At this point might buy streameast premium how hard is it to understand fans want one service to watch their team on its genuinely easier to stream than to buy
MSG + is useless.
I would be happy to have streaming only and cut out cable which is really expensive, but it sounds like we will need multiple streams to watch Knicks ?

I also think this stuff cuts out a lot of consumers. Look at the Apple TV MLS package. I know that deal was for 100% of the MLS games, which is very cool package, but I definitely have family that prefer watching games on broadcast are never going to sign up for another streaming service
