Raptors SIGN Three Point SNIPER…
the Toronto Raptors just signed a three-point sniper and if you’ve been watching this Toronto Raptor summer league team play you’re familiar with Jameson battle and the silky smooth three-point shot he’s put on display he impressed Messi you jiri and now has been given a contract which is going to lead to some serious decisions having to be made come the start of preseason come training camp come the time when uh the chopping block is on board because Jameson battle is proving that he is a guy that’s going to have to make things tough on the Toronto Raptors decision makers bide Messi Jerry Bobby Webster because regardless of all the other stuff you know we’ll talk about his game strengths weaknesses that dude is a Bonafide threep Point sniper and given his trajectory in college his Improvement on that end of the floor it’s very encouraging for his game moving forward so we’re going to dive into all of that this video before we do folks again if you’re part of the 49% that hasn’t hit the Subscribe button just yet make sure you hit that subscribe button so you don’t miss a single thing regarding this Toronto Raptor team and during the off season but let’s dive into it because folks people have been calling it for it that have been watching uh the the summer league action the Summer League games because a guy wasn’t really on anyone’s radar Jameson battle was hyping some people up and news has officially come out that he’s getting recognized for a strong summer league performance as the Raptors have signed Jameson battle as suggested they should within to an exhibit 10 contract per source so Camp battle for a spot bonus if he gets cut uh for and joins the 905 so this move does doesn’t guarantee that he will be on the Toronto Raptors roster you know come uh the start of the season come you know when the games actually matter he could get cut get put on the 905 and then looked as a development piece so likely he’ll be with the the trono Raptor system ecosystem for at least the next year but the way that he’s been playing especially as a relative unknown you know to the average tonal Raptors fan played for Ohio State apparently he’s not notable in college basketball as you guys know I’m not super familiar with college basketball games and stuff like that but Jameson battle has really really impressed a ton of people and has really been on a in his basketball Journey basketball career on an upward trajectory it’s the reason why I’m pretty bullish in terms of his game and him as an actual Prospect but basically he’s a guy that if you’re not familiar he’s 23 years old so played multiple years throughout his college uh career from Minnesota he’s 67 ways 220 you know small forward can play that sort of small forward position and his stats in college are pretty impressive so basically Al before we dive into his summer league stats in his final year with Ohio State averag 15 points per game which is nice but the number that really has me excited it really has me turning my head is the 43% from the three-point line 43% you know out there not on some tiny uh attempts either on six attempts per game now that number fluctuated over the course of his college career but in 35 games you in a senior season with Ohio state that man was a sniper and as I mentioned right if you were watching this guy play throughout summer league you’re seeing how quick he gets that shot off you know how fluid it is even with a hand in his face he’s just knocking down some buttery shots and frankly they’re going up and it’s a two game sample size we’ll take a look at the stats in both games but they are just looking so crispy it’s not rattling around the rim and bouncing in those are perfectly pure jump shots that are are going in for Jameson battle and let’s basically take a look at his stats what he’s been able to put up in these types of games you know for these Summer League games and again we’ve done some Recaps on these Summer League games so definitely keep it keep it locked to Raptor side just so you be up to date on all the Jameson battle updates but again first game of pre of Summer League not preseason you only 14 minutes of action the man had 12 points knocking down both of his free throws went two or three from the three-point line and again this is where we first saw that quick release you know his game kind of going one rebound one assist isn’t doing much out there beyond the the sort of three-point shooting but uh again backed it up in his second game there right uh with a plus minus 16 for the game 11 points you know three uh three of five from the three-point line one assist one rebound uh so you know just doing his thing out there a three-point sniper coming off the bench and doing his stuff which again is a skill the Toronto Raptors need they need on their roster to really develop and grow this team in the right way now what does this mean for this future with the team because we know he shoots the ball at a high percentage did did a high clip in college and is doing it now at the you know I want to say the NBA level but close enough to the NBA level with a ton of NBA guys out there playing in the summer league but isn’t this just one of those guys that’s going to be at the end of the bench and then we just forget about him you know you’re what Sam Deckers of the world you’re is Wayne rights here guys that get invited to Camp they hype everyone up and then they just don’t really go anywhere with the ston Raptor team and that could be the case with James in battle and I’d make the argument that if you compare him to you know a guy like JFL right Javon Freeman Liberty who has that roster spot you know it’s fighting for those positions coming to Camp right JFL is a better basketball player all around he’s the guy that’s closing the games for the summer league team and just you know on the surface is better at basketball better allaround score bit more of an athlete just JFL you know was I think he was all summer league team last year was third in the G league in scoring last season so if we’re looking you know head-to-head basketball-wise in a vacuum you know JFL versus uh you know jamus in battle you know in terms of these dudes I’m taking JFL straight up in a in a 1V one however that’s not how these roster spots how these things are generally picked positioning expectations the better fit all these types of things are the things that Messi Jerry is really going to be looking at in regards to making his decision with uh you know that final roster spot in terms of things that are going on and yes as I just alluded to JFL it’s a more well-rounded game has a lot of stuff stuff going on in terms of his ability to play for this Raptor’s group however one of the big discussions the big talking points this off season has been are just roster being overloaded with shooting guards we have RJ Barrett we have Bruce Brown on the roster who’s going to get minutes we have oai abaji who’s naturally a shooting guard we just drafted jacobe Walter we have Grady dick who’s naturally a shooting guard and then right now we have JFL at the two-way spot we have DJ carton there’s a lot of guys that play that sort of off ball position and then not to mention the point guard in terms of Jamal shed and Davon Mitchell that can be regarded as more combo guards then we also have Emanuel quickly who’s going to be the Bonafide starter for this team that’s a ton of dudes that are going to be getting minutes getting opportunities getting some run at that shooting guard position and are all guys that need the ball in their hands with maybe maybe exception of a gray dick spot up shoot but he’s been driving a little bit more stuff as well so positionally JFL doesn’t exactly fit the same way Gary Trent Jr didn’t and now I’m shocked Gary Trent junor he left on the minimum contract like a like a oneyear $2.6 million deal crazy to me but still JFL positionally fitwise doesn’t make as much of a sense as a guy like Jameson battle who’s more of a forward more of a catch and shoot spot up guy and again provides a different skill set in a vacuum right you’re starting your team in an NBA draft a pickup game whatever it is you’re probably going JFL nine times out of 10 but J Jameson’s battle is just quick three-point shot the fact that he doesn’t need the ball in his hands to really have an impact on the game that’s uh that’s all factors to really look at as a guy that’s coming into camp and having potential to make your Toronto Raptors roster and yes defensively there are question marks from the ey test I’m watching this couple of Summer League games he does get blown by a decent amount so defense is something that has to factor in and you know we’re not sure if BR MSI jur is going to be making trades will Bruce Brown be on the roster how will things really look so maybe you just keep the best talent and then sort of go from there and that’s probably the best strategy to go for for the strong Raptors group but this decision is not going to be something that’s easy for Messi jury it’s going to be you know a walk in the park in terms of guaranteed battles getting cut and then throw in the 905 and stuff like that there so definitely keep keep a close eye on these Summer League games who’s impressing who’s performing well now the battle is going to be in training camp expect him to get a little bit more run a few more touches and stuff like that there but let me know what you guys think about uh this signing for the Toronto Raptors definitely an interesting pickup I’m intrigued I’m happy he’s getting that extended look especially with how well he shot in college and during these Summer League games but let me know what you guys think you guys the best that make this far again subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already I’m signing out cheers

Who ???
Woo
Great move, if they hadn't someone would have quickly snatched him up. He also has very sneaky athleticism.
Dude these 5-year players are so underrated.
Could have added a real nba player who can shoot…say gary trent…nevermind…
The Raps signed both Jamison Battle and Tylor Perry to Exhibition 10 contracts on July 16, 2024. Garrett Temple is stealing a roster spot from someone. The Raps don't need a team babysitter taking up a roster spot that could go to a player they can develop or can contribute. This is not a title team where a roster spot can be wasted on an old veteran. The Raps current roster:
CP: Poeltl/Olynyk
PF: Barnes/Boucher/Mogbo
SF: Vezenkov/Dick/Ogbaji
SG: Barrett/Brown/Freeman-Liberty/Walter/Temple
PG: Quickley/Mitchell/Shead
Two Way Contracts:
G DJ Carton
C Branden Carlson
C Ulrich Chomche
Exhibition 10 Contracts:
F Quincy Guerrier
F Jamison Battle
G Tylor Perry
Free Agents:
F Jordan Nwora (UFA)
C Malik Williams (UFA)
They need to get over Temple…I just don't get it.??
What’s happening with c. Boucher?
Brother, your audio is always so quiet in your videos. Lol I have to max my volume just to hear you, then when a video plays from someone else, it’s booming. If you add a compressor to your audio file, it allows you to raise the overall volume without any clipping.
Ayeeee
I like how he plays, he's a dog
Agbaji should go. Imo, he continues to play himself out of a job.
Release him, make Temple an Asst Coach and there are 2 roster spots.
why does bro look malachi flynn if he age 10 years 💀
Jamison Battle is better than jonathan Mogbo and none of the shooters we have are avaging 43% percent.
He shoots 93% at the line
