Gary needs to start though, his numbers as a starter throughout his career especially last year is night and day, coming off bench and starter
As a starter last year averaged
16/3/2 with 1.4 steals on 40% shooting from 3
Off the bench it was 10/2/2 on 38% shooting from 3
He’s not a elite or great defender, serviceable and gambled alot for steal
All in all, I think he’s good upgrade over Beasley

Trent was the only, realistic option, as an upgraded to beasley as the starting 2. At least at the vet min. I honestly didn’t think we could get trent at the vet min.
Trent is much better than a vet min player and he’s only 25.

One if the best things about Gary Trent is his willingness to shoot.
He will sometimes take shots you might not want him to take, but that is way better than good shooting role players who are too afraid to shoot.
The only annoying thing about getting GTJ is the bucks could probably have gone more defense with the Prince signing
This FA has been an A+++….relative. Having 0 cap room I don’t think it was possible to get better than Gary, prince and wright. With AJ and Ajax taking the next step, my confidence is restored. Marjon is the wild card
Didn’t see him on the Raptors, but saw him play with Dame in Portland.
He’s a legit threat from the 3 point line that will let it fly for sure.
So defenses will have to cover or risk letting him get hot.
If he’s out there with Dame, Khris or AJ. The ball will be moving with Giannis collapsing the defense and kicking out to guys that will actually make you pay. It even might buy a second or two extra for Brooke to get his shot off.
East is gonna be tough. We need him.
