This is what the fans know you guys just ignore. Let’s Jimmy has an average year and decided to pick up his option. Who is going to trade for him at that price with the new NBA cap rules? What if Jimmy gets injured and pick up his option? The time to trade Jimmy was when the Sixers were desperate. You and I know we are not going anywhere next season. Get a bunch of picks and some good 1 year free agents and develop your talents. At the end of the season you have Bam, you have picks and you have cap for Bam’s Era. This what the fans are saying.
Ik this is stupid for some but genuinely wouldn’t be mad if we developed the youngins this year and kept our lottery pick for 2025, and just give the 2026 pick to OKC. We NEVER have a chance for a top 5 pick and in a draft like 2025 im willing to take a chance on another young superstar to build with this team.

Looking at JJJ and Ware, I'm excited. Hopefully some gems can be had (Keshad, Stevens, Christopher). Miami might surprise. Dont they always when we least expect it.

This is what Monday morning qb. At that time many thought PG13 was not going to leave the west coast. Both warriors and the Clippers were in play. If Jimmy was available with his relationship with Embiid, no way they do not get him. You actually believe sixers care about to picks in year 2028,29 for jimmy? You do not get basketball.
I do not see any how jimmy opt out of this money. Whether he has a great season he will opt in and wait for a trade. Exactly what Kyrie and Westbrook (Lakers)did.
Ethan you can’t really be this delusional. How exactly does the future look brighter than now? At the moment we have at least 2 stars in the team. If we keep Jimmy long term, then we’ll have an aging star for at least 4 more years taking up 30% of the cap. If we lose Jimmy, we won’t gain any assets from it. Do you see any of the young guys becoming stars in 2 years worth of time? Please stop pushing this narrative. Both the present and future are cooked
I think we should tank to keep our pick. I don’t think our chances to win are good enough to justify not getting in on the Cooper Flagg sweepstakes.
If we get him, it would be a short road to a dynasty, and if we don’t, getting another lottery pick would only help this team that has already gotten a lot younger.
