It’s pretty incredible how the offseason comes around and everyone forgets how good Julius Randle is.

Well absolutely but one is also an all defensive team lock

This would be a fair point if jaren was also a below avg defender, but instead he is one of the best and most versatile big men defenders in the league.

Doesnt mean I necessarily think Jaren is better than Randle but that’s half of the sport being ignored

I didn’t realize JJJ averaged 22.5. With that and his defense this isn’t very convincing lol

I don’t think this is making the point you want it to lol. I think our front office would trade Randle for JJJ in 5 seconds if given the opportunity. And I say this as a fan of Randle who agrees he is insanely underrated as a player right now.

Nice try. Why do some pay so much attention to what other people say?

Nobody has forgotten how good Julius is. You don’t need to bait.

It’s not always about the stats it’s about the fit.

I’m all in on Julius but a lot of naysayers complain about how easily he gets frustrated , gives up on D and blames others and how he’ll slow down the offense by keeping the ball too long.

I think that was more fitting in the past but Randle was a lot better last year before he got hurt

I mean if you’re trying to make the argument that the Knicks somehow get worse with an all-world defender who ultimately doesn’t make us lose too much on offense congrats?

I understand what you are going for, I do I promise, but jjj would be a wayyyy better fit for us than Randle lol holy that would be amazing.

If you think Randle is getting over looked just say that, this is bad work

I mean the rest of the team and conference is relevant here. Randle most def is not the reason why knicks were 2nd seed. Defense is also an issue

JJJ is also an elite rim protector

Jjj is also only 24 and is a tremendous defender . Not saying smack on Randle because I think he’s great . But most front offices do this for longevity reasons .

Our front office is stuck with his extension looming . Arguably jjj is the fit we need . Can shoot the 3 and defensively with og and mikhail forms arguably one of the best 3 headed defensive monsters in a long time .

I would absolutely package Randle for Jaren and a solid NBA backup center. If he can give us 22, 7 and 3 with close to elite defense at his position then that’s almost a steal. He’s also several years younger than Randle and healthier with room to be even better long term

    It’s 100% Randle’s playoff performances.

Im not forgetting. If we had had Randle in the playoffs we would have beaten Indiana and given the Celtics a run for their money maybe getting to the finals and winning a championship. We were that close – one good player away from possibly wining it all. We’ll be back next season – with more weapons!

u kinda made the point for JJJ. I love julius and cant wait to see what he does for us this season but this post isnt saying what u think it is lol

Randle isn’t why Knicks were #2.

He chucks up bad shots dude.

States that numbers don’t tell the whole story.
Proceeds to then give basic numbers lol
