Really impressed by Dillingham today. One of the younger players in Summer League. Had some rough shooting performances but found the bottom of the net at a high-clip today.
His passing/playmaking is what stood out most to me during this Summer League considering many said that was a weaker part of his game.
Had performances of 5, 8, 6, 7, and 12 assists for an average of 7.6 assists per game.
This guy is gonna be fun to watch at the next level playing alongside great NBA players.

yeah whats up with that, it’s been by far the most nba-ready looking part of his game. Maybe it’s just Kentucky didn’t have guys like Minott and Miller because he seems to like finding the bigs
PG of the future
12 assists could have easily had at least 5 more on some of the passes that ended in a foul or missed shot.
Heard based on 2 poor summer league performances and 19 year olds never progressing that he was already a bust
Y’all remember ant was a walking brick the first 2 months of his rookie year. Rob is going to be just fine lol
He was fantastic offensively aside from a few sloppy passes.
The shiftiness was on full display and he was getting separation more easily today than he seemed to in the previous games. Made a few contested shots at the basket which was highly encouraging. Even got up for the dunk late (I’d thought his vertical pop looked limited in previous games). It just felt like he was in more command of his handle/moves today than previously. Loved to see it show up at least once in summer league.
But, like you said, the passing has been the star. He throws some absolutely gorgeous ones, but he also regularly makes the simple ones too. He also seems to LOVE throwing it to the big one the pop, so he and KAT or Naz (or both) could be a great fit. The only complaint I have about his passing is the velocity — some of his passes don’t have as much zip as they might need in the big leagues.
I’m excited to see what Finch does with him. Nowell and Shake just didn’t improve the offense enough to justify the step back in defense.
Not concerned at all about him offensively, just want to see how he steps up his defense as he learns from the Wolves.
We all know MN Mike will be a great mentor for all these young players.
I just see zero reason to be concerned about his shooting. It’s going to translate. I am worried a lot of his passes in the paint will be much more difficult to pull off with real NBA defenses and length but hey there’s always going to be things that are much more difficult at the highest level.
His size will be a forever issue so we’ll just see how it plays out over the years.
Mike Conley has his Kamala Harris
Next Curry … but with more speed.
Don’t accuse me of over-reacting. I’m reacting exactly appropriately.
