Weltman has stated several times this summer that we are trying to simultaneously be competitive and develop the youth on the roster. That development requires playing time to whoever Mose deems playable.
Joseph is essentially an Ingles replacement in terms of locker room vet presence with no expectation on playing time. Tyus Jones was never accepting that role at 28 years old.
