Wanted to give a little reminder of what just happened this year.
After losing to the Miami Heat in the 2023 ECF, this is how the Celtics responded.
Traded for Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday. Assembling the 5 man lineup of Holiday, White, Brown, Tatum, Porzingis. Might be the scariest 2 way lineup we’ve ever seen.
Went 64-18 in the regular season and had the best record in the league. Had the best offensive efficiency/rating of all time. The 2nd best defensive efficiency/rating in the league. A top 5 net rating of all time. A top 5 scoring margin of all time. More 30 point leads than 10 point deficits.
Went 16-3 in the playoffs. Never even getting to a game 6. Dominated the finals matchup in 5 where Kyrie Irving went 18 for 53 while playing in Boston and didn’t scratch 20 points in TD. Winning the first championship since 2008.
And then the Celtics followed that up with extending Jayson Tatum, Derrick White and Sam Hauser. Horford also clearing up all retirement rumors. Then resigning both Xavier Tillman and Luke Kornet. Bringing back the entire squad for next year.

Sweep the league, especially in the playoffs 16-0, only way to top this year, maybe some more individual awards for our guys, Tatum with MVP would be cherry on top, though quite unlikely given talent on team
