Curry took a really bad iso stepback in the fourth quarter up by only two possessions. Ant was pinned on a screen the following possession and bc of it Schroeder got a pretty good look at a three that fortunately for the US he missed. I feel like in the actual tournament that kinda stuff always goes in against the US. Last two games we could’ve easily lost. Lebron spent way too much energy this game keeping the US in it. There’s way too much talent on the team for ice cold guys to be taking bad shots and offensively for one guy to do the majority of the heavy lifting. Fortunately for us the guy from Cameroon looks great on the defensive end and he’ll probably be the reason why we win gold. He’s a pretty big upgrade from Deandre Jordan and javale McGee last Olympic cycle…but with that being said, the US historically never gets a favorable whistle so hopefully these games won’t come down to the refereeing bc we’ll lose every time when given the opportunity. In the actual tournament if played out the exact same way down the stretch, we’d lose both those games. I expect us to be better, but wouldn’t be surprised if we lost 1 or 2 along the way…we’ll definitely medal tho…
