What a team friendly deal!

What is crystal clear is who the starting shooting guard is. That debate is now closed.

Hopefully we have done enough to make sure he doesn’t have to be our leading rebounder again in major playoff games. Love his and McConnell’s resigning!

I love this FO.

What a great deal that opens the door for so many great possibilities in the future:
* Mathurin & Nembhard continue to develop. One of them is willing to take McConnell’s 6th man spot on the bench. A ‘passing of the the torch’, if you will. I think that this is one of the best possible scenarios (and no disrespect to TJ at all). Nembhard’s contract & the precedent of selflessness set forth by Brunson should help us keep both guys – assuming that the team is contending. * The contracts of Toppin & now Nembhard are now such that it would be pretty easy to trade the pair for a star player. If Mathurin really takes huge steps at the 2 & Jarace works out best as a backup 4 rather than a 3, this could be an excellent option if the right player becomes available. * Kept onto bird rights, which open up sign & trades if things work out for the next 3 years, but for whatever reason, we can’t pay him what he wants.

Awesome signing, but now I wonder what happens with Mathurin going forward
