Makes sense to cut them, not like they’ve been stellar. Does open up active roster spots, but I wouldn’t put much stock in it

Doubt they don’t trade away players with the quality of this draft. Podz won’t be their target unless they are sending out sexton soon.

At this point sign lofton might be cheap.

I don’t think moving 2 non rotation guys is a sign of a huge move for them

Lofton looked awful in Summer League so not too surprising honestly

Tired of hearing about it. At this point fuck ainge give him nothing and watch lauri walk at the end of the season

Kinda surprised about Bazley. Thought he was a bit of a headcase who would carve out a role somewhere on talent. I remember him giving big attitude to the OKC coach when they were bottom feeders his rookie year.

Usually that happens after a trade is confirmed

we need Bryan Windhorst right about now

having spent some time looking into jazz world recently
most of their fans have warmed up to the idea of podziemski being part of the return & the top young player from the warriors side in a trade for markkanen now and are less inclined for kuminga or for him not being included when just a few weeks ago the majority of their fans definitely thought kuminga would & should be part of any markkanen package no matter what or there was no deal
i don’t know what changed their minds, maybe it was podziemski playing well in summer league & the more they hear from rumored front offices around the league that they also think very highly of him … add the fact that he has 3 years left on a relatively cheap rookie deal too
also listened to a recent jazz podcast & the host said the markkanen trade market is getting hotter & there still could be as many as 4 teams interested with the warriors, spurs, thunder, & rockets
i’m not sure about that
as it seems as the warriors are the only team in recent weeks who have been seriously linked to markkanen and from what i read & heard i think it’s the jazz front office wanting the warriors to sort of bid against themselves in that it’s either a warriors trade where they try to attract as much assets from them as they can or they keep markkanen & re-sign sometime before the start of the 2024/25 NBA season
at this time i honestly don’t think another team other than the warriors is going to trade the necessary pieces for markkanen before the start of this upcoming season
i’ll continue to believe if the warriors can keep kuminga and acquire markkanen then that’s absolute best case scenario both for the short & long term for this franchise and would hope the warriors pull the rigger on such a trade in the near future
imo a top 4 of curry, markkanen, kuminga, green along with the quality of role playing veterans the warriors have signed in melton, hield, anderson has a very good chance to make some serious noise in the west the next couple of seasons

Post summer league roster shuffling – means nothing

Doesn’t mean anything rn.
Wait until a week from now and towards August you’re gonna hear more news then.
Does not mean a single thing
This means everything
Get loften for meme!!!
This may or may not mean something
This somehow means something for someone somewhere.
Just popping in to say that I think Lofton is an underrated basketball player. I hope he gets a shot somewhere.
It might mean something. Isn’t Utah a team trying to get to the salary floor? Not sure why they would waive guys.
Kenny Lofton? The 90s MLB lead off man?
They apparently both had partial guarantees that triggered tomorrow, [Jazz would have owed each $400k](https://www.deseret.com/sports/2024/07/24/jazz-waive-lofton-bazley/)
