Tatum was supposed to get the MVP awards because a franchise needs a franchise player, and to call Tatum the face of the franchise while other players on the team are winning the MVPs, that doesn't jive with current marketing schemes. You cannot tell me that an organization that reps Nike on their jerseys isn't beholden to the marketing edicts from that company. Jaylen is just not allowing the Boston Celtics to maximize marketing profits, and that's all the NBA is about.

No need for excuses and rationalization. It is what it is! USA Basketball has the final say on who is in and who is out.
