Those dang Nuggets. Always playing basketball against us! Like, who does that?

I think we have a rivalry with them. Although I wouldn’t consider it among the best like this page shows.

We’re in the same division, so it makes sense for us to be rivals with them.
Bi_napple
I mean, they do have a bad track record playing against us at home.. but idk that it would create a rivalry. I would say the rockets more than anyone

I would think the holy war is a much bigger rivalry than Jazz/Nuggets.

Lol I think people unfamiliar with Utah naturally always try to rival us up with Colorado (see also Utes and Colorado in NCAA)

I feel like the Rockets are historically and weirdly the 76ers presently are bigger rivals.
SenHeffy
We’ve never had a rivalry with Denver. The Rockets rivalry is longstanding and goes both ways.

Clippers and warriors are questionable as well

I think it’s fair to call them *a* rival, obvious geographic proximity, somewhat recent playoff matchup, a lot of funny connections in the Rudy/Don era. But it’s not like a particularly intense rivalry. Tbh I don’t think we have any intense rivals outside of Houston and I’m not sure if it’s entirely mutual considering they also have strong rivalries with the other Texas teams.
PLZ_N_THKS
Even the Warriors/Clippers rivalry is pretty dubious.
Outside of Lakers/Celtics there really aren’t any important historic NBA rivalries. Maybe some rivalries for a certain era like the Jazz/Rockets in the 90s and early 2000s, but most big basketball rivalries are in college.
QuarterNote44
Yes. I don’t like them. But it’s not Sox/Yanks. Nobody really cares if we go 0-4 against them during the season
