The thing is Killian does a lot of things well, he’s an above average defender and he’s an above average passer and a decent floor general, if he shot 35% from 3 he would be a really solid player
Weaver's weird decisions running the Pistons stunted many of the young players he drafted or traded for growth. I believe Killian will find a team in role in the NBA.
Although fans were angry Monte started Killian over Ivey, the way in which Monte used him was just another example of putting the kid in an unworkable position. Monte didn't actually play Kllian at PG. He left that to Cade. Killian was stuck in the corner to (miss) 3s. During his tenure in Detroit Killian was seldom played as the actual PG with a line of up guys who could finish plays. When Casey or Monte put in shooters, they used Cade, Ivey or Joseph at PG. Hopeful he gets a chance at the Nets but because of their rebuild he will probably, once again, have to play with a trash lineup.
If Killian couldn’t perform on the worst team in the league, I don’t see how he can perform on another bad team. Those teams leave nothing but opportunity to do so.
