Maximizing OG Anunoby's Impact
Saw this article on the web talking about how the Knicks should effectively use Anunoby this season. A lot of it has to do with minimizing his minutes and using him as a swiss army knife because there's not a great track record on his health.
Obviously he feels like he's valuable, so will he like taking on a diminished role despite his contract numbers? And will his lesser role be beneficial to the Knicks in the long term (health in the postseason)?

Ain’t no way in hell that OG Anunoby sniffs anything outside of the starting line up
OG isn’t coming off the bench. Just helping the guy out so he isn’t tasked w the toughest defensive matchup every night and/or not playing him 40 minutes a game should help to preserve OG tremendously. Hopefully the team gets to “load manage” naturally with all of the high quality depth we have on the roster. Nobody should have to play absorbent minutes so long as the team is in decent health. Assuming Prescious is re signed and excluding the rookies, we have 12 proven nba veterans that are able to contribute to winning either as regular rotation players or as extended depth.
$212 million dollar players don’t come off the bench, let alone be used like a Swiss Army knife.
If he goes down (god forbid) then likely DDV will play the 2 position while Mikal shifts to the 3.
It almost looks like the comments are for a different post. where did all of you see “coming off the bench”?
