Probably our most likely candidate for the starting center spot unless we’re really committing to Zion at center

Yeah, Theis is one of the better Journeymen in the NBA at his position. I liked him when Boston had him (the other team I follow). He’s good as a connective tissue player, which the Pels just don’t have enough of. I really value this type of player because they make the lead guys better. He’s also serviceable at shooting threes. He’s a little short, but that’s in line with what the Pels are looking to do. But that’s also means defensively he’s not amazing under the basket. I don’t think he hurts on defense, he just doesn’t add that aspect being 6’8”. Overall he can help a team push the pace, and can be a Valanciunas lite. He’s also in his 30s, which typically helps with Younger Role players.
Edit: I forgot to mention. He can be a dawg. He gets “disrespected” (hit) a lot (in the face, in the balls, etc.) as C’s fans put it, and just keeps going. Celtics fans loved him.

I’ve always thought he was underrated. Positionally sound and knows how to do all the big man stuff. He’s just limited by his size
