I don’t think this really means anything. If they’re happy with Banton, then they wouldn’t need to find a replacement guard to fill in for Simons if they trade him — they have Banton and whatever they get in return for Ant. If theyre not happy with Banton then they’ll have an open roster spot anyways when they cut him. Graham has never even been close to efficient, has regressed since year 2, and couldn’t find a consistent role with the tanking Spurs whose biggest weakness by far was at his position. I don’t see why we’d assume teams want to give him anything more than a training camp deal at this point
The Blazers need Cooper Flagg
This makes zero sense. When do fans stop pointing the finger at Billups and start questioning what Cronin is doing? This team isn't close to the one Billups thought he'd be coaching yet everyone blames him for where we are. At the very least Billups needs a chance to actually see if the team can improve this season but with everyone calling for more tanking to try to get Cooper Flagg the dude is literally in a no win situation.
One of the biggest benefits of trading Simons is it might help us suck for 2025. Being able to add Flagg or Ace to our core would be huge.

Grant's salary is just under thirty million. Added together Rui, Delo, Gabe, and Cam are well over forty million. RW3 has a salary that fits with the aforementioned Lakers, if combined with Grant.
