I like Stackhouse. He and kuminga need to get real close this season. Maybe stack can get the team to rebound and play defense better. There was no reason for podz to be one of our best rebounders lol.
Kerr is blowing hot wind. The defense changed after brown left which wasn’t necessary since our key personnel were still the same (dray and wiggins). And his rotations compounded the problem by playing small. 3 guards arent the problem per se, but kerr often played 3 short guards who couldnt defend a chair. The problems with our defense start and end with kerr.
Curious how we went the last two years without having a proper, high level defensive assistant coach. It’s not like Atkinson’s resume prior to coming here had anything relating to defense on it, and really it showed in what we saw on the court.
Looking forward to a new emphasis on that side of the ball.
Defense is how you win close games. A lot of those close losses the last couple of years have had poor defensive performances when it matters most.
