Like the title says, do you think we should either push either one of those players? We know that our FO barely makes any moves in the deadline because they believe that might affect the team's chemistry and play, so do you think we should make a move now? We need a boost in our offense because we barely have any reliable scorers behind Steph and JK, and like the other people here says, we can't just put our 100% trust that Wiggins will come back to his 2022 self and rely our next season on a series of what ifs. Both are not known for their defense, but they can both explode anytime on the offensive side. Personally, if we're going to reexplore both of them, I'd rather take LaVine. He's a better fit on our offense, he's not afraid to shoot 3s and Steve loves the way he plays. His off-ball defense is not reliable, but his on-ball defense is adequate. There's an article that covers this. Neither of the two have good contracts, but LaVine's contract situation is better than Ingram. This because anyone that's trading for Ingram is expected to give him a max of four-year, $208 million, which is $52 million per year on average, still six million above LaVine's contract in 2025-2026. Plus we might even get an extra pick if we trade for LaVine. But what do you think? Should we pursue on getting one of them or just roll the season with the current roster?

Nope.
Too expensive, too injury prone, and won’t make the Warriors a contender. Hence why their current team or any other team has made a move for them.
Yes, it is worth exploring other options obviously.. but the team is 100% already doing this. Despite what this subreddit acts, the organization is not just waiting for Lauri to be suddenly available… That would be ridiculous.
As for LaVine and Ingram, they do not make much sense. Contractually, the Warriors do not have much to send out that is not negative value (ie Wiggins). So it would be very difficult to make contracts work for this.
The best thing for the team is to prioritize internal development with Trayce, Podz, JK, and Moody. Obviously explore trades, but it isn’t going to guarantee that a trade option is going to make this team more competitive / make sense.
We should consider all options but not those anymore. Lol.
Our biggest concern is Curry himself, not the trade to help him out
You don’t make trades out of desperation. If it didn’t make sense before, then it still doesn’t make sense.
Should we trade for Ben Simmons too? No lol those two options are like Kelly Oubre
There’s a reason no teams are after those two dudes.
If you check a trade checker, it’s impossible to trade for Lavine or Ingram without including Wiggs, Looney and likely moody or Payton. That being the case, I don’t really see how the roster gets better by doing that. I would consider it if the Bulls threw in an unprotected pick, but that doesn’t seem likely either. While the contracts don’t scare me off like most, what we would have to give up in return seems like too much. Unfortunately, we would have needed to do this when we still had Paul.
I’d consider looney and Payton and a second rounder for Vucevic tho
Markkanen makes/made sense for us to pursue since his game actually complements our style of play the best.
I just don’t see the other two really moving the needle for us, and it would be considered a desperation trade if we were to really pursue it. There’s a reason why the Bulls are so desperate to move off LaVine’s contract and can’t, & do we really want to get stuck paying Ingram the large contract he wants?
I know people don’t want/like to hear this because it’s possibly Steph’s final years, but if it’s not Markkanen, the team is better off continuing to develop the young guys and waiting for the next disgruntled star to hit the market.
No. I’m totally fine giving up the future to get a chance at another Steph ring. But I’m not okay throwing it away for nothing. Lavine is a good player on paper but a terrible fit alongside Steph.
Lavine is basically no chance now because of his contract. Wiggins, looney and GP2 would match salaries pretty much exactly but given we are hard capped, we couldn’t afford to being in the two extra roster spots we’d be giving up, even on veteran minimums.
If the bulls included a pick or two, I would be intrigued.
No, none of these players move the needle. A healthy and engaged Wiggs, a better Kuminga, and a healthy GP2 will at least get us in the playoffs.
You don’t go into the second apron for a guy like LaVine
Nope. Do u get paid by 29 other gms to sabotage our season this early by naming “stars” like BI and Lavine?
No. Bad contracts are the true end of this franchise for a decade. Easy no
slater from the athletic just a couple of weeks ago said in a local radio interview that it’s unlikely the warriors pivot to either ingram or lavine if there is no markkanen deal
he said lavine has too big & bad of a contract to take on and that ingram isn’t a fit for the warriors
warriors front office would would likely head into the 2024/25 NBA season with the roster they have now and look to make a trade for possibly a better player maybe at the trade deadline next year early in the 2025 calendar year
now i don’t personally agree with the ingram take from slater but he is probably the warriors beat writer or media member who probably knows more about what the warriors front office is thinking compared to most in NBA media both locally & especially nationally
Rather get Kuzma. He’s cheaper, has good size, and has playoff experience.
Lavine has no knees and Kerr hates how Ingram plays basketball.
