When a player demands top money because of what they have accomplished (ie lbj and ad) it leaves little to work with to find a good supporting cast. In a way, it's a problem created also by these "superstars"

Lebron on a good stretch of games can still be a top5 player, problem is the nba season is long and if Lebron is your n.1 guy your team will be a low seed and the road in the playoffs get tough. You can put all the perfect role players around him and AD but it would not matter. At this point of his career Lebron should have a lesser role in the offense and be more consistent on defense but the Lakers can't provide that great player needed on the roster.

Nah bullshit Trying to blame the role players. The whites and the Hollidays exist when the superstars of the team, understand their worth. Lebron's ego never lets him do that. It's simple as that. In an all star USA team, Lebron still puts himself first. He handles the ball, attempts to attack and if it doesn't work, 20sec later he passes the ball.. That's loosing basket. That's 6 turnovers in 21 minutes with Jason preaching how Lebron had a great game. It's only about him. Even at 40, he can't play off the ball. It is a discrace really, disrupting everyone else's ball. Tatum and Brown on the other hand understood the game. The warriors crushed them two years ago for handling the ball, and now it's all white and Holiday. They have ego's but winners keep them in check.
Here we go with excuses for Lebron, Durant, etc… I bet if they were winning despite their teammate's limitations, Ya would find reasons to praise them as true superstars and the best in the world. š
The parts are greater than the whole! Thatās why as a GSW fan, I am optimistic we can be competitive and even WIN a championship if our role players come through. Our coaching staff has been boosted. Praying Stackhouse can get our D back to top 10. Pace Steph, Dray, GPII and Loon Dawg. Adding Lauri would of course make us instant competitors. But we canāt gut our depth and youth. This notion that the lakers brass is not doing week is a garbage take Jason. Your reasoning that lakers are incompetently ran is not rational. The lakers have gotten 17 championships and are at the top of league storylines and rating is because theyāre a family run organization. Thatās the reason we are the lakers is because we treat everybody in the organization like family. So stop with your nonsense and let the lakers figure things out like they always have. Lakers probably make a splashy move at the deadline and put themselves in championship contention. Everybody that hates on the lakers are not true true laker fans. Lebron and KD can be one of the the 3 best players in the league any given night. But thatās not consistent because of age. Many nights there are the 3rd or 4th player on the court
Other than Boston, ALL nba teams are missing and need 2 way players. Denver lost KCP and certainly could use 2 way players(Murray and Jokic aren't great defensively), Minnesota has either defensive players or KAT and ANT for offense.
