Do they gave cap space to sign rookies they just drafted after Lauri deal? Or do they have to trade other players to clear space? Think someone said cap floor, not ceiling… so maybe non issue.

This is a dumb move by the Jazz. Going to do the same thing they always do. Lose out on the draft as well.
How do you tank better with Lauri? He’s not going to help you lose games. Ridiculous. Sexton and Collin’s are in their primes right now and will want to play for a contract. Say goodbye to Flagg.

You guys just don't get it. The NBA has structured its draft lottery to dissuade teams from tanking by punishing them with the system they devised, and that nearly happened to the Jazz last season when they were having a perfectly good competitive run (26-26 on 2-6) which that blankety blank Ainge torpedoed 2 days after the best win of the season against the Thunder by trading away 3 key rotational players.
Another thing, I haven't heard any commentary on what has happened to the Piston's the last two seasons where they finished with the worst record in the league both years but only garnered the 5th pick in each of those two tanking seasons. I think they've learned their lesson by making moves in the off season to actually try to win games, and the Jazz should do the same. I'll tell you another thing, this absurdity wouldn't be happening if Larry Miller and Sloan were still around. Those guys tried to win all the time, no matter what.
Andy really compared LM to JH, KD, DM……etc but all those guys prove what they can so in playoffs. LM have done nothing zero. He's just a Bottom all star in a bad team.

Lauri don’t care about winning. He knows it’s his last chance for a big contract. He just bamboozled the NBA especially Utah for $200 million. He is going to work and lose but when he gets his check after the game he is smiling all the way to the bank. Drives his Porsche to his mansion and eats his personal chefs food that he cooked for him. I don’t know if you can trade him in the future with this $$$ contract. Good luck Utah for next 5 yrs
Just let lauri handle the ball for the first 18 seconds of every shot clock. Helps us lose now, helps us win later. Best thing to do. Our focus should probably be to trade walker if we want to lose. Keyonte + Collins playing 32+ min together ensures we lose tons of games because they couldnt stop the average middle school teams pick n roll
one thing I don't really like about comparing this year to prior years. is the players we had in prior years that helped us win, got traded. I have a hard time seeing that for this year.. collins at center and jc as a starter is not going to be a top tier team. and yes.. not playing Lauri 40 min is not a b ad thing for a year.. give him 20=25 min the rookies are going to have to cost games to learn to play.. then we just need to get close and hope for luck.. we would need the luck even if we was the worst team in the league with the way the draft works.

The media really needs to stop asking the question to the players. What do you think of Utah most players like it here and when you worry so much about that you sound so small or gives a bad look for this state so stop asking players that question I don’t know the percentage, but I’m pretty sure it’s 80% of the players don’t even live in this state of the team that they were drafted to they’re only there when they have mandatory workouts or during the season but soon as the off-season hits, everyone leaves where they’re to go to their home all it comes down to money that’s what makes players happy And there’s way too much money being given out to mediocre players just like Utah is getting ready to do and I’m sorry he’s an average player maybe slightly better but not good enough for that contract they’re talking about
