First, his body language during games, particularly against France, was concerning. Hachimura, arguably the most successful Japanese player ever, seemed distanced from his teammates.
According to official announcements, Hachimura's left calf injury during the game against France required immediate rehab, forcing him to leave Japan's national team camp. This was suspicious, considering his ejection and stellar performance did not indicate any severe injury.
Rumors have been swirling about Rui Hachimura's time with Japan's national team during the Olympics in Lille, sources tell BasketNews, hinting at some turbulence within the camp. There were whispers that Hachimura might have unexpectedly left a practice session, which could have contributed to his surprising exit from the team.

I donโt know what to do with this information.
Bro said we are not going to win, not messing up my money trying to carry the squad. Got back to LA immediately
I would be fine with this rumor turning out to be true
Looks like Hachimuraโs calf is playing defense better than the Lakers did last season! Hopefully, his injury rehab gives him more time to work on his 3-point shot for us. ๐ #LakeShow
Arenโt there reports that Rui had a really rough time growing up in Japan and all the racism there? Maybe heโs to blame for some of it as well but not exactly a welcoming culture to other races (aside from tourism)
This reeks of weak gossipy crap to me. Seemed distance due to body language…oh no not body language.
“This was suspicious, considering his ejection and stellar performance did not indicate any severe injury.”
Suspicious to who? He can’t be playing with an injury because he played well?
So basically no real info being reported. Just some guy watching the game and wants to make a story about his body language and how he’s playing too well and can’t possibly be injured.
Seems like a non story. Japan wasn’t winning a medal of any kind and after how Rui had to miss a good chunk of the season early on last year, better to be safe and cautious to make sure the injury isn’t too serious. He would’ve been back starting last year before the end of Decemeber like Ham planned to actually do but got hurt. We need all hands on deck for this season. Not because it means we’re winning a title or to up trade value, but because it’s exciting to see if a potentially competent coaching staff can extract more out of this group. Still need a backup big, but I’m not to worried or stressing.
๐ sounds like pure rubbish
None story, moving on..
Ruiโs performance in the playoffs should have been very concerning. He seemed totally disengaged. I remember there was a rumor last year he was upset with not getting enough playing time, then he got it and stank.ย
cultural differences between us player and japanese player ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
This reads just like those stories near the trade deadline where Rui made a LA with his hands without a smile and everyone thought they knew some trade was already done.
