Lauri Markkanen signed with the Utah Jazz for a huge contract and it stopped some of the trade rumors for now. But now it’s time to look at the upcoming season and what that might mean for the Utah Jazz. It’s very likely that the Utah Jazz are tipping their hand for these first two seasons and what they plan on doing with Keyonte George, Taylor Hendricks, and Cody Williams as they get more playing gime.

I think the Jazz want to win, there is no guarantee that those Picks are going to amount to anything , they are just trade pieces, they are not going to waste the first two years of Markkanen's contract that would be a total waste , they are building now , not in two years !!!!!!

2 losing seasons along with the 2 previous losing seasons , and if the Jazz are lucky they might build up to be competitive like the D Mitchell R Gobert teams . SMH that plan will lose more fans . Who wants to be Detroit!
I think it was back loaded because we have John Collins, Clarkson, and Sexton’s contracts that we still have another year, that will probably get replaced by players still on rookie contracts after next year, when Lauri’s salary goes up. Some of the recent trades like Svi and Drew (both 27, like Lauri) replacing THT, Samanic, and Lofton make me think they are going for it. I predict they will not tank for bottom 5 spot.
