Serbia 7 milion people – USA 350 milion people and best league in the world! And Serbia almost beat the USA! Just think about that! 50 states against one small country. Dude!
Instant Classic!!! There was just SO MUCH going on. So many storylines. Everybody chipped in! 5 MVP’s on the floor at the same time! Incredible game!
Everything had to go just right for the USA to win in that 4th quarter and it did. Whew.
Devin Booker is an excellent defender, he and the other defenders helped win the game in the 4th quarter. Serbia very nearly won the game but the US defense got the stops and pressured the Serbian offense into missing their shots the last 7 minutes of the 4th quarter.

I think Jason T said the best, there's diminishing in return. Tatum wouldn't be the player he's in Boston, because he just won't have the touch and role to do that. And with the way he's shooting, what purpose he serve except tighten Serbia defense ?

Look man just let it be. Tatum prolly doesn’t mesh well with the roster… are we forgetting that these players have personalities. Also if that quote that Tatum blew his top at Kerr after riding the bench the first time is in fact true….then this screams of putting Tatum in his place. Seems he’s overstepping his bounds after winning one championship as if they chsnges the fact that Jaylen brown would have much been preferred over Tatum let’s be real about this
Can we also be realistic here? Understand that certain guys aka Tatum just doesn’t fit and doesn’t play well with the super stars ….its quite simple. Don’t rock the boat when the boat is sailing just fine already !!

Anyone paying attention would have seen that Serbia team was an NBA Playoff quality team. International play has almost caught up, especially because of the fundamental shift to a focus on shooting and multi-skilled big men. Serbia had both in spades and played the game of their lives, it took every ounce of tallent from 4 MVP's to beat them in the end.
Book was the only one guarding Jokic on Serbias final basket. He's a starter and finisher on both ends, he'll be the USA vet next time around.

The referees deserve the most, they concede three points to Durant after a foul made by Davis and played to Jokic, then three points again, Embidi's steps don't play several times, LeBron's carrying the ball, Durant's stepping on the outside line, the Americans really had another ignorant MVP from the referees from Panama and Bosnia where amateur basketball is played.

In the other half final France played a much better game against Germany than in all the previous games. But they could only win because Germany played their worst game in the tournament – and were completely out of sorts. In short: France didn't win the game, Germany lost it!
The same goes for Serbia against the USA: Of course the USA picked up in the 4th quarter and played very well. But just look at the three-pointers – to pick out just one aspect: Serbia were successfull with 10 out of 20 attempts in the first three quarters. And in the 4. quarter ZERO out of nine! ZERO! If their rate would had been only half as good as in the first three quarters, they would have won by at least eight points!
The reality is: Of course the USA played very well in the 4th quarter!
And of course Curry and LeBron played great!
But the USA team should at least admit that they were extremely lucky that the Serbs lost so much in the 4. quarter…
only one less three-pointer if Steph hadn't hit it, now we would be talking about the fight for third place!!

TJ is straight up lying. Serbia had this game until the very end. They had an answer for literally every punch the US threw.

The American team recruited the Cameroonian because they didn't have enough basketball talent in their country to be able to beat Serbia, which has fewer inhabitants than the city of New York… The fact that Jokic succeeded with Serbia, Lebron couldn't do even in his best days. The only Dream Team is the one with the GOAT Jordan. In the semifinals of the Olympic Games, Jokic proved that he is already among the ten best basketball players of all time.

This man is lying, everyone pissed themselves from the fear and defeat of Serbia, very simple, Serbia fell physically in the 4th quarter because they played with fewer players in the rotation, they got tired and that cost them the victory, if only Serbia had more one quality player in the rotation, this Dream Team would lose, in the end there were only 4 differences, anyone who knows anything about basketball knows about that.
