I’m sure people will criticize her as “just Mom” speaking out about her baby. But what’s clever is that she’s underlining the Little League silliness going on here. She has not just tweeted herself, but responded to others asking WTF.
It highlights that something is indeed weird when a versatile First-Team all-NBA player sits, just as it’s weird when the Little League coaches play their own kids at shortstop and bat them third while sticking the rival out in right field to play two innings and the required one at-bat. It reinforces what we know happens in practices for these kinds of teams, when the practice revolves around the coaches’ kids desires while the outcasts get minimal engagement and screamed at when they make the right play that does not defer to the coach’s kid.
“If the shortstop roams into right field to take the ball and calls you off, you back off and let him get it since you’ll fail anyway.”
We’ve all seen a bad Little League dynamic at some point in playing or watching youth sports. In this case the coach’s kids are Joel Embiid, Devin Booker and Anthony Edwards (thus the three guard lineup force feeding Embiid). The team sponsor, Nike, wants to make sure the old guys are also marketable as they move off the stage. So with all these interests for who knows why then Tatum falls off the stage and guys who speak out like Jaylen Brown get kicked off the team.

I get why people are upset about all this but I try to focus on the positive. We NEVER have to worry about the Warriors again.
I know they’re on the decline but Tatum is going to average 45/10/8 against Kerr for the rest of his career.

I don’t get why Tantrum is taking this so personally, it’s not like hes getting benched for scrubs.
