The Reason for this is because I have a family, and because of my work, and gym schedule, streaming all of The Knicks games would be impossible, so I began covering The Lakers in late 2018, because most of their games are played at 9:00PM EST, or later.

Two positives. Our RBs look good. All can catch passes. Young players have to block when needed, Singletary is proven.
It wasn't starters, but for both teams, so still glad to see our o=line block like a unit. We all know its been a problem for years. If Carmine can scheme the best out of line then we are better off than we've been in years.

Crazy theory but: I actually think Dabes told Lock not to target Nabers last night, 2 reasons: 1. They didn't want him to get hit and 2. Wanted to see how he would react to not getting the ball. (Remember the Hard Knocks conversation?) So, why play him, right? Let him go out, run some routes and get a feel for the speed of the NFL game. Just a theory.

Gray made a case for himself last night. We haven't seen a 48 yard rushing TD in years

I remember at the combine I think, they were selling to Saquon that the o-line was improved.
I have said since they drafted Gray that he should play in at least 35%-40% of the snaps. For one thing, this would have kept Barkley fresh and more effective. Not only that, there would have been a greater chance of Barkley not getting injured. Gray had over 1,300 yards rushing in his last year at Oklahoma. I would argue that he's a better third down option then Barkley was because he' was a better pass protector. I have no idea what Daboll was doing last year. He made so many bad coaching calls. Having Breida ahead of Gray and even Brightwell was one mistake. Breida didn't have a future with the Giants, so why play him? The Giants RB's has been near the bottom 4-5 offenses in the NFL. Having multiple back will improve that. Brightwell is gone so we'll never know if he could have been a decent back. I think that he could have been. Daboll has another decision to make. That is who's our #2 QB? In my opinion DeVito is the clear choice. Lock has peaked. He's been in the league long enough so we know what to expect from him. DeVito played really well when given the chance last year. However, he did make some big mistakes. That's because he was a rookie playing without an OL. What happens if (when) Jones gets hurt? I think that putting a QB that really isn't going to improve is a poor choice and could be career ending for Daboll. To say that we know what we have in DeVito isn't logical. Jones has played parts of 5 seasons & we still question what we have in him. If you take away his running, how good is he? If Jones goes down we must play DeVito. After watching him last year it was clear to me that he has a very good touch on his deep passes. Is Liam Thompson the Division III Wabash star aptly named the Little Giants still on the Giants roaster?
Jones MUST play some downs in pre-season. I don't think that he played any last year, and it showed. For the next game he should play maybe one possession just to get him out there.
