[Golliver] USA’s Steve Kerr at the end of his press conference: “Devin Booker is an incredible basketball player. Nobody asked about him. He was our unsung MVP. I just wanted to say that.”

Dumbass Celtic fans that thought tatum should’ve gotten Booker minutesss

It was weird seeing Lebron, Steph, and book on the court and Book playing the three with Lebron at 1 and Steph at 2.

Tampering!

Could see Booker becoming the next Durant/Melo, the guy who is Mr. Team USA
commandrr
this shit means something to me mannnnnnn
Simple_Wait_7286
Booker definitely gained a ton of respect from these Olympics, which is interesting considering how much hate this guy received after the 2022 playoffs.
He played his role perfectly on offense as the off-ball scoring/shooting threat, and he played hard defensively too.
That-Log8135
im guessing the ’28 team will have him, edwards, tatum as the big 3

Booker, White and Jrue really impressed me. They hid their egos and just contributed however they could. All of them played D, they passed, and they hit big shots at the right time. Honestly incredible.
Book expecially since he was coordinating for the big dogs. IT really says something about him that he was just the “5th man” for a squad made of mvps, but he just worked hard and put his head down.

book knew his role. book also plays better when there are baddies around

He’s without question been Steve’s favorite on the roster. He’s also not wrong.
Also, Spears noted in his tweet of this quote that Kerr said this unsolicited.

I totally agree. Never really liked booker. I admit, I wasn’t familiar with his game. Played amazing in his role. Never out of place. Always playing hard. Always made great decisions.

Still remember the first game and some dude in here was calling Booker a bum and much more. Fucken clown I would tag him but I don’t roll that way lol

Booker aka Mr. Glue
remotecontroldr
MVP of camcorder vlogging too.
dominbg1987
Booker accepted and fully embraced his role Á stopper and Spot up shooter
Great to See him do that for the team
sriracha82
Book had a motor & hustle I was unfamiliar with – NEVER ball watched, always either boxed out his man or went in for an offensive rebound, it was very impressive discipline for a guy who never has to do it in the NBA
A looooot of guards could learn from how he played these Olympics
FatefulPizzaSlice
Book was unreal. Just always playing hard, nose to the grindstone. Hell, he was like playing up on Jokic and Wemby even if it wasn’t fully effective, he was willing to do it
DariaYankovic
He was unsung. Sing for him, MFers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
by_yes_i_mean_no
Facts, he embraced his position on the team and focused on being “a star in his role”. He’s very talented but you can’t have five “alphas” on the court, some guys need to get in where they fit in and he did it to perfection. Also played really well in Kerr style offense. Gained a lot of respect for him.

These Olympics changed how I view him. Respect!

I’m sorry Devon Booker I wasn’t familiar with your game

Olympics Booker is my favorite Devin Booker

Man I love Booker so much

Agreed. My big takeaway from this tournament was how good he was at both ends in his role. His stock was down the past few years and what a reminder of what an incredibly good player he is

Book vlogs are killing it as well

Facts.
I would like to announce that the Devin Booker, and subsequently PHX Suns, haters club has moved on to Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets.
Great job D Book 🥲
(Mavs fans have permission to continue their hatred if they so please)
So many quite details that made incredible moments happen.
Everyone talking about the amazing 4 in a row from Steph. Book had the kick-out on the 3rd one that most others players of his caliber would’ve tried for a tough finish.
So many powering over screens, picking up ball handlers full court, and hitting clutch 3’s when called upon to hit a shot (6 point play was Book).
We all love the legends when they have iconic moments, but it’s players like Book that actually make good teams great. Love that guy.
igby1
First the baby fist bump and now the do-whatever-the-team-needs play in the Olympics.
Maybe Book isn’t such a bad guy after all.
LetMeInImTrynaCuck
Booker: 12ppg, 3 rebounds, 3 assists per game on 57/57/78 shooting splits.
Buckeye_CFB
Being able to have a 70-points-in-a-game superstar as a role player is the ultimate luxury. What a team
Physical-Still-6855
I remember booker scoring like 70 points in an NBA game when I was a kid
HaikN98
I was a Booker hater before but I like him a lot especially after the Olympics. Also he is a better player than Tatum. Ready for the replies.

His [“I’ll do it”](https://x.com/DevinBook/status/1701736480362934458) tweet when Kuzma was going on about stars becoming role players was so true.
