Alright alright I had to ask. We’re just gonna skip to the next day unless you guys are against it. Day 4: Who is the worst starter in the history of the Pacers?

There were some SCRUBS we had to start in the weeks following the Malice at the Palace

Would better question be worst *regular* starter?

If it’s just anyone that ever started, my vote is Britton Johnsen, who started 1 game post Malice

That’s a tough one. Almost has to be a player from early 80’s but I can’t nail down a name

Monta Ellis, past prime non-shooting 2 guard in an era where the 3 ball reigned supreme. Was a hell of an NBA player at one point, never with us.

Was Brad Wanamaker a starter at all that one season?

  5. SpenserB91

Brad Wanamaker started a game. Dunno who the worst regular starter was.

  6. OladipoForThree

Keifer Sykes, started 11 games in 2021-22

    An atrocious 45.6% TS

  7. ClaimElectronic6840

difficult to quantify, but in recent memory im going with justin holiday or duarte

  8. jakerose_2

Brad Wanamaker is literally the worst player I have ever seen

  9. TonofSoil

James Jones started 24 games in the dreaded 04-05 season

    Of all games?
    Probably Wannamaker

But worst named starter for a season I can remember was Bruce Brown

  11. TonofSoil

Travis Diener started 21 games in 07-08

Duarte. Flash in the pan that quickly found his way to the end of the bench.

Unpopular answer but Dale Davis always felt like a dead spot in the 90s lineups, especially with soon-to-be-all star Antonio Davis riding the bench behind him.

I know he was mostly there to grab boards and fend off guys like Charles Oakley, but it seemed like he only did either of those during his contract year… which was about as frustrating as watching him shoot 50% or whatever from FT

I’m not exactly sure what the criteria for this one is, but TJ Leaf started 2 games lol.

Edmond Sumner comes to mind. Gotta love the kids hustle though.

The George McGinnis disrespect is sad. Y’all need a history lesson.

If we are looking at regular starters, I’m saying LaSalle Thompson. For about three years, he started at PF for us, scored like 6 points per game, and kept Detlef Schrempf nailed to the bench. Could never figure out why that guy was on the floor at tip off.

What constitutes starter? Is it starting a game or starting several games? If having a start counts I’d say TJ Leaf. He started 2 games and never averaged over 4 points a game.

For this to have any meaning it needs to be someone who was a regular starter, not someone who started a few games because of tanking/injury.

Did Tyreke Evans start in ’18-’19? He missed a lot of layups.

  21. Kohlenarbeiter

Austin Croshere did start a few times, right?

  22. EddieMunsterSr

Marquis Daniels started 40some games one year. Can he be it?

  23. International_Link35

    This is easy. Brad Wanamaker.
