Going to guess that “exciting announcement” is direct to consumer and/or local tv?

Best news for Blazers fans in over a year.

Are they finally going to offer a reasonable official streaming option? If not I will be sailing the high seas once again…

I’ve been a happy sailor for years but would love to pay for a direct-to-consumer option. Take my money Blazers!

  5. I have dreamed of this day for so long. I have never been more pumped to watch a team go 22-60, because at least now I’ll be watching.

I’m just hoping it’s something available on YouTube tv

We are free! Hallelujah! Sean Highkin mentioned the Jazz having a $125 per season streaming option, which seems halfway reasonable compared to Fubo premium/Comcast/etc. Should make for better streaming options all around hopefully.

If they think Root Sports was a great partnership then my expectations are pretty low. DO BETTER.

Really happy for everyone in Portland that this change is finally happening. Moving out of the state a few years ago and getting to use League Pass instead has really reinforced what a raw fucking deal everyone was getting locally.

Finally. Can’t wait to tell my grandpa who hasn’t been able to watch a game for awhile.

That’s AMAZING news. Root being part of comcast’s highest plan basically meant not watching Blazers’ games.

Can’t wait for their partnership with Quibi.

Good riddance. Didn’t even broadcast in HD and cost an arm/leg to watch. What a joke

    Mariners and Kraken next, please

The MLS/Apple deal with a reasonably priced flat fee subscription and no blackouts has been pretty great. I’d love to see NBA get something similar.

If local over the air broadcasts don’t trigger a League Pass blackout I would be so happy…

Like almost enough to make me repeat the mistake I made earlier today in sprinkling ground cloves instead of chili powder onto my breakfast burritos. CHECK YOUR LABELS people!!!

Fuck ROOT Sports. All my homies hate ROOT Sports.

  18. caronare

No, we cannot thank Roots for their service.

Hopefully they make it easy for those of us outside of the metro area but still in the market to watch them too

This is great news. That said I kept my digital only Comcast after summer league so wondering if I should cancel it or wait… Since it was only a couple months to the season I was just gonna roll w it since it was a nightmare to set it up w Comcast.

every game now streaming exclusively on tubi

  22. AnAmbitiousMann

Blazers moving to root sports was the worst thing that happened to the team in a long time.

  23. cascadianrefugee

Knowing this organization I am expecting them to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in a new and unexpected way.

  24. You really think whatever the new option ends up being will be significantly better?

  25. Hurry up Blazers… need to choose a new streaming service for football and basketball games soon
