It’s because Steph and KDs breakout time as superstars was about 5 years apart. Durant reached MVP calibre at around 2009-2010 while Steph got their around 2014. Lebron and KD have been on first team 5 times together. And lebron and Steph have been first team a couple times together.
The common factor is Steph and KD have never been on first team together. Makes sense as they were teammates and focussing on team basketball instead of inflating their regular season numbers like some players in the league.

You can simplify this, I think. Steph and KD have never been All-NBA First Team the same year.

Forwards: pick any 2 of LeBron, KD, Giannis, Kawhi
Guards: pick any 2 of Curry, Harden, Dame, Westbrook, CP3
Funny the combo never happened. Seems to mainly have to do with KD/Lebron finally having some competition for the forwards slots right as Steph hit the scene to compete for the guard slots.

Not that unbelievable. These guys don’t pad their numbers in the regular season like other guys in the league.

Wow!😲That’s awesome. It’s like the ultimate dream team never happened in real life.

It isn’t that crazy to think about tbh. KD missed large amounts of multiple seasons due to injury, Curry wasn’t always an All NBA First Team level player and Lebron hasn’t even won it every single season

Not really that crazy…..

I mean I believe it, they didn’t overlap all the time and KD has been injured quite a lot.
spicybhole420
i easily believe that.

I do believe it though

I think 2015-2016 season might’ve been the year if it was not for Westbrook’s intransigence and refusal to feed the best player on his team the ball in critical games. He in his own right was spectacular but at the cost of KD.
Edit: As pointed out to me Kawhi had a great season and I couldn’t recall how great Kawhi was that year. As a two-way player and on a solid spurs team. I was really thinking back at the postseason success that year which of course is not reflected in the all-nba list. Good call. Can disregard the initial comment.

What is this edit? LeBron and Steph never wore these uniforms. They couldn’t find a picture of them together from last week? lol

This is such an unnecessarily doctored image. These are NBA shots that have been photoshopped with USA Jerseys (that aren’t even real?) Their numbers aren’t even correct. Durant was 7 and Steph was 4.
LIke why? Surely this took more time than just grabbing their actual shots and cropping them together?
No-trouble-here
KD would have locked up more if he didn’t hop to the warriors. Ultimately it was win titles vs accolades and he chose right.
Bouldershoulders12
If KD didn’t break his foot in 2015 they would’ve been there together.
And 2016 I think KD was a better player than Kawhi slightly but the spurs winning 67 games and Kawhi being runner up for MVP def sealed KD as second team. OKC only won 55 or 57 games that year but they blew a lot of 4th quarter leads in the RS and should’ve won 60 games at least. Funny enough Westbrook was first team that year

I don’t believe it!

Curry only being first team 4 times is the craziest stat. He’s been one of the faces of the league for a decade now and made first team less than half the time
YpsitheFlintsider
KD had most of his before 2014, when Curry was still young.

Should’ve happened in 2016 but format had to be 2 forwards and a center instead of 3 front court players. So instead of KD on first team we got DeAndre Jordan (damn the 2010’s was not a good time for centers)
Jicama-Smart
they got screwed in 17-18
--solitude--
It shows how much talent there is in the league
Chet_Dangerman
Not really a surprise. For basically KD’s entire career, Lebron has been one of the forwards and it’s KD vs all the other 3s and 4s going for the other spot.
dizzymidget44
Does this mean all 3, or no 2 of the 3?

Why isn’t that believable?

How in the world was KD not first team in 2016? Kawhi and LeBron I guess?
