KCP and Jrue Holiday have the most rings in the 2020s decade.

Pistons/Lakers fan here. I know one thing in this life that’s a fact. You can convince yourself someone else can fill his role. They can’t. Only one KCP. As soon as you let him go your team falls to poop in my experience. The Pistons had like no talent looked him in the eyes and said you’re a role player lmao. I still can’t get over that. Than he goes to the Lakers so I’m like amazing. Than Bron comes I’m like no freaking way as a big Bron fan. Than we win a chip I’m on cloud 9. Ya’ll know the rest…

Can’t believe we traded him for Westbrook. He really came back to bite us the last 2 playoffs. Since he’s out of the west now, Caruso is on the best team in the west to haunt us now.
That trade and letting Caruso walk has really messed up the LeBron/AD window.

And a sizable chunk of our fan base crucified him and believed bullying him relentlessly “fixed” him.

Danny Green and KCP are both top candidates of being THE role player of the mid 2010’s and early 2020’s and we had both. Gave it all up for a broken Russ

I’d argue the main difference maker in playoffs was Rondo. Dude is the absolute opposite of D’Angelo Russell. Except by the Celtics game he had a pretty pedestrian regular season where his presence was irrelevant most games, and it was even worse against bad teams, but against good team he was better and in playoffs he was regularly our 3rd best player.
Dlo is the complete opposite, he is often or 3rd best player in regular season and he steps up big time against terrible teams like Detroit just to become irrelevant in playoffs or worse, one of the main weapons of the opposite team.
I like KCP, he was consistent in his role in 2020, but I really don’t see him as a huge difference maker, I feel like this notion comes from the fact he was traded by pure thrash and that thrash was traded for more thrash and we have nobody to make the dirty work anymore … maybe Max can become that guy.

Yeah and the majority of the fanbase wanted him traded after the 2021 playoffs. Maybe it isnt a good idea to trade players after a bad playoff run.
