    >In a recent interview, when Shannon Sharpe defended the NBA’s ‘world champion’ title by noting the league’s elite global talent, he asked Lyles if he recognized Nikola Jokic, one of the NBA’s top players. Lyles’ response was unexpected.

    >”Imma be honest, I don’t know who that is,” he admitted, followed by laughter.
However, when Sharpe mentioned other international NBA stars such as Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo, Lyles acknowledged them, saying, “Ah, I’ve heard of Luka… They’re great players.”

if i never heard about this cornball again i would not be upset

  3. Ok-Bandicoot9963

If you watch nba even as a casual casual there is 0% chance you never heard of 3x mvp 😂 this dude probably never even watched nba

  4. GHamPlayz

Too busy watching Yu-Gi-Oh in 2024 and trying to catch his breath after the 200m

  5. zestful_villain

Noah Lyles? I legit do not know who that is.

  6. Alfakennyone

You can’t tell me Noah and Josh Norman(NFL) aren’t the same person

  7. RunnerTexasRanger

In 4 years he’ll be relevant for 2 weeks again and fade into obscurity

  8. Stormeve

His remarks are… eh, don’t care too much about them one way or another.

But what was more amusing was the NBA fandom calling out American Nuggets fans for cheering for Jokic and not team USA, then turning around and rooting against Noah Lyles for his comments. This involved actual NBA athletes as well with KD’s and Josh Hart’s comments.

The hypocrisy is unreal. I thought not rooting for American athletes was “un-American” 😂 pretty entertaining to follow along as an outside observer.

Shit like this is why Adidas still won’t give him the shoe he so desperately wants. 🤡

  10. Ok_Respond7928

Bro needs to make a name for himself somehow because nobody really cares about track athletes.

  11. TheOrthodoxPolock

Lmao, so this idiot just confirmed he was lying about the world champions comment the entire time with this statement.

  12. LooseBalls9

Noah Lyles 100 percent wanted to be a basketball player growing up but had no skill other than running fast.

  13. Running-Man333

This guy is fighting hard to stay relevant!

  14. 3rdtryatremembering

Somewhere in Sombor, Jokic is smiling and doesn’t know why. This is exactly what he would want Noah to answer lol.

  15. Gimme_1_Chance

I hadn’t heard of Noah Lyles until his comments. Had nothing to do with his running.

Also being the fastest person to run 100m is cool, but nothing compared to what it takes to be an NBA champion.

Don’t worry yall he’s only talking to stay in his little spotlight. We’ll all forget the name in a few months.

  16. MoooonRiverrrr

Noah Lyles reminds me of the kids that did the Naruto run in high school

  17. Affectionate-Flan-99

Lyles is such a frigging dimwit. I absolutely cannot stand the dude.

  18. porkadachop

He’s a fucking weeb. These people should be bullied, not interviewed.

  19. Bstonealpha

Only discovered this dude Noah Lyles existed two weeks ago. In four years I will have forgotten about this dude until I see replays of his race he barely won. Then watch him finish 4th in LA28.

  20. AB-AA-Mobile

    >”The problem that I had was you have given the title of world champion to people who weren’t facing the world,” Lyles said.

    He’s right about that.

  21. zazahan10

Seriously don’t know who this person is and why she/he is relevant?

  22. KanyeWestistheDevil

Damnit why did you post this! This ass clown Lyle is just trying to get attention. Bro needs to go away!

  23. ClaytheKingpin

Well the Olympics are over, not really much of a need to hear from dude anymore, and now disrespecting our guy like this he’s made it….. PERSONAL lol, but in all seriousness in terms of the discourse that he’s helped Foster about basketball, to not know who the best player in the league is is pretty damn silly

  24. N00BSGONNADIE

Dawg even the most casual of casual know who Jokic is what is he talking about 😭

  25. WatersZephyr

Ima be honest. I’ve been on Noah Lyles side up to this point, because I do agree with him (especially as a soccer/football fan. Winning the champions league or Premier League is not a world championship. The World Cup is a world championship). But I’m not a fan of this comment from him.

There’s a complete chance that he doesn’t care about the NBA and the media gives guys like Giannis and Luka more attention than Jokic, and so that’s why for the comment. But regardless, Jokic is pretty well known and talked about. You would think you would know who he is.

It could also be a case of Lyles talking just to talk and get more attention and keep his name being talked about. Because regardless of the fact that Olympics are over and people saying that “no one’s talking about him now that they’re over”, he’s stayed in the spotlight and attention for all these things being said about him and him saying things. Whether that’s intentional or not, that’s what the result has been.

Basically TLDR, don’t like this from Lyles. I’ll agree with everything he has said up until this point, but you gotta basically not follow basketball to not know who Jokic is.

  26. Equivalent-Moment-78

I really like Noah Lyles as a huge track & field fan myself but he’s making himself look foolish with all this. He clearly doesn’t even watch basketball so he doesn’t understand the players or global nature of the game. That’s ok, but stop speaking on it then my dude. You have no credibility to speak publicly on the NBA as a famous person with a platform if you don’t even know who Nikola Jokic is. A wise man once said…. nothing at all.

  27. Frobe81

This guy is such a looser. Jokic an all time great. Lyles won something I can’t remember
