I mean, the dude just kept gaining weight and getting worse, and we kept playing him (????).
Honorable mention to that short time Lance Stephenson was here. That one year was ages of comedy happening.
There’s also something to be said about how special pre-legal-matters Miles Bridges was. He still delivers the lions share of our highlights these days, but I’m not that’s not saying much given how things went for our team last year. Still think he’s got plenty of highlight reel left for us.
Back to Sean May lol. Between him and Tyrus Thomas (whom I gave worst all time starter – leader of our 7-win debacle), I have them leading a list of names believed to be associated with terrorist activity against our Charlotte Hornets franchise, including Adam Morrison, Frank Kaminsky, Gerald Henderson, Raymond Felton, Michael Kidd-Ghilchrist, James Bouknight, Kai Jones, and a few others.
After a meh first year with the Hornets (after what were imo some meh years in CHI ***) we gave him $10m/yr (why???), and he didn’t want to rebound as a big man (averaged 3.5ish RPG), but had no sort of scoring touch (5ppg 😭). He was a “rim protector” type, as far as build goes. But his stat line hardly agrees with the claim. He was eventually deemed not good enough at that, that none of his next stops (as with many other hornets players) included an NBA roster. As a rookie, Biyombo rendered this guy replaceable, almost immediately.
It’s truly a toss up between those two for me. But what do y’all think? I like off-season arguments – it passes the time well, I guess.
*** – Side note. Portland drafted this guy and gave him up for Lamarcus Aldridge on draft night. Just a curse wherever he went tbh

Captain Jack should really be up there for funniest – but I guess after his time here? I recall lance being the Shaqtin a Fool segment before it was a thing
Someone had to go and try to be the main character…
Gerald is more athletic than Miles and I honesty think he’s also the best rim protector
Zo or Dwight not best rim defenders?
After what Sean May did to Illinois, he gets a free pass.
