Unsure when he became a Bull. Now I love him

  2. juiceman0402

Didn’t expect to sign him but was excited that we got him. Now he’s one of my favorite players ever to put on a Bulls jersey

  3. Rubberbabeh

    I love him

    he deserves better

and I will fight you if you disagree

  4. TheGamersGazebo

I thought he was gonna make us contenders. Now? I think he’ll lead us to some nice draft picks.

  5. BlockOfTheYear

I didn’t like him cause he played for the Raptors and struggled in the playoffs. When we signed him both Raptors and Spurs fans all told me its impossible to not love this man, they were completely right. Gained so much respect for him here.

I will also add that the series he played for us was not even a “Defrozan” moment. Guy single handedly won us a game and then got double and triple teamed while no one else could make a shot.

My thoughts were at first. Wow we’re going to be competing but not good enough to win it. Now/past 2 years I was ready for a new look

  7. marcryan3

Uncertain of how he would hold up but was incredibly dependable and a leader for us. I’m glad he’s in a winning situation and I’ll always be rooting for him. He deserved better.

  8. Status_Secretary_575

Was a fan of him before him signing with us, one of my favorite players ever now

  9. IH8Miotch

I thought he was gonna be the best player on our team. I think I was right.

I thought he was a dope player that didn’t play much defense and wouldn’t effect winning too much, but would put asses in seats.

He’s a better scorer than I thought. I knew he was a bucket, but the amount of mini-droughts that this man dug us out of was astounding. It’s going to be interesting to see how this team fares without Demar when the offense stalls. It could
    get really ugly.

Most importantly, I didn’t realize how great of a teammate and human he is. I love his mental health advocacy and the tutelage he provided for our youth.

He’s a top 10 all-time favorite of mine and will be forever cherished here in Chicago despite his brief stint and relatively quiet on-court impact.

Not sure how we got him to be honest. Great player. Needs to move on and get a ring before his time is done.

I didn’t know what to expect when he was first signed because I didn’t know a lot about him as a player or anything. Now, I wish he never left lol and ik that’s an unpopular opinion but I liked him a lot the short time he was here. It’s a good decision for us and him in the long run but it still makes me sad that he’s gone lol

When it first happened I remember not being impressed. I was shocked because we actually landed him which was just impressive on its own but I was still like “really? We got Demar? Meh…”. I was turned off by his career long playoff struggles and didn’t see how he’d fit next to Zach. I just didn’t believe in him.

Then in the regular season he 100% surprised me. He may have had his best seasons of his whole career with us, especially the first one. But then when the playoffs came in 2022 his first game was a stinker followed up by a great game and then a bunch of meh to average ones. So I was proved write in that regard. You can’t be the best player on a team and have at least one absolute SHIT game every series.

And now that he’s gone I’m relieved. The most I appreciate from his is the leadership and mentorship he gave to our young players. I think it’ll help them for years to come. He was entertaining at times but also frustrating as hell to watch at times so I won’t miss his playing. I never liked the signing in the first place and he proved me right in some places but wrong in others. But he didn’t fit our team or timeline in the slightest so I’m glad he’s gone in that regard. Good luck to him in Sac

I wasnt mad but it showed me that we werent focused on winning. I like him as a person and as a player but he wasnt gna bring us to the promiseland. I saw the Kobe in him but not the Mamba, if you know what i mean.

  15. MrRobertBobby

Always deserved better. Glad he got more of the spotlight here to showcase what he really brings to a team. Wish him nothing but success.

  16. greatwhitenorth2022

I knew he was a great player because I live in Ontario and saw him regularly on the Raptors highlights for many years. He played the same way for the Bulls. I was pleasantly surprised that he maintained his level of play as he got older.

  17. bitemydickallthetime

My main impression of him was from his days on the Raptors, when he and Lowry would lift them to 1seed in the regular season and then crap out early in the playoffs. A solid player, great human being, but ultimately without the killer instinct and leadership abilities to pull through when it really matters.

    We’re cooking now.

Thank you for service bulls short stint legend

  19. Designer-Mixture5800

He’s an elite mid range scorer, below average passer and an average defensive player. Due to his usage, I don’t think he will ever contribute to a championship team. Very good teammate and person though.

  20. friedrice_rob

Super optimistic when he joined that we would be competitive in the east somewhat

Now I’m glad he played for the bulls and thankful for the memories! He was a walking bucket and wish him the best at Sac!

  21. kingjuicepouch

At the time I was concerned we were building around too many offense only players, and I wasn’t excited to have him because of it

Now I know he was better than advertised, one of the most consistent bucket getters I’ve seen in this city. The mistakes akme made with building this roster don’t include bringing in DDR, that’s for sure

  22. YesWayJoseX

Was always a big DeMar fan and wanted us to trade for him when he was in trade talks on the Spurs in 2021. When we ended up signing him I was ecstatic because I knew he would take a lot of the scoring pressure off LaVine. Now he’s up there with Jimmy and Rose as my favorite players of all time and will have me rooting for the Kings this year

  23. I wanted him to come off the bench. Felt like he and Zach needed to be staggered to be most effective. Obviously he ended up being better than I expected, but they definitely needed to be staggered

  24. FreightSlinger

One of the greatest bulls since Jordan, Pippen, Rodman. Legitimately wished we could have built around him instead of trying to build around Zach Levine.

  25. arealPointyBoy

i thoguht he, along with vooch, was too old to justify a trade but im happy he was a big influence on our young guys
