Final rough count for Most Wasted Potential

    LJ: 64 votes
    Mourning: 53 votes
    Okafor: 39 votes

My largest takeaway from this exercise is that George Shinn is a basketball terrorist.

Could have just gone ahead and thrown LaMelo up there.

Under the radar guy here: Josh McRoberts. I fucking loved watching McBob play.

    Brevin Knight!

Here me out. Only the best passer on the planet could average 9 assists a game with Okafor and Brezec as the leading scorers.

He then had 9 a game the second year when Wallace lead, but also shared minute with Raymond Felton who had 6 assists a game.

For the meme potential it has to be Brevin.

LJ got injured not fair not fair at all to grandmama

  6. Muggsy and it isn’t close. LaMelo could maybe get there some day, but he has a lot of games to go before he does.

    Obviously LaMelo y’all

I get Muggsy was a great passer but LaMelo is probably a top 5 passer in the NBA and his showmanship is unmatched. He’s like Magic Johnson out there

Mugsy is the whole reason I started following the Hornets… but the answer is Lamelo Ball for god sake. It didn’t say assists it said passer and Lamelo Ball is one of the best passers I’ve seen in my life. It’s Lamelo Ball. I won’t participate in this game again if it isn’t 😅😅

Rose tinted glasses for those saying Muggsy. It’s Lamelo.

The LaMelo disrespect is crazy. If nothing else he’s a generational talent as a passer.

I watched Mugsy play. I’ve seen Melo for only a few years and it’s him. He’s one of the best passers we have seen in the NBA.

As much as I want to say Muggsy, it’s Lamelo. He has Pistol Pete level vision and flash.

That said, it’s technically Muggsy as he was on the court more than 40ish games per season to actually make passes.

Diaw deserves some flowers for his passing ability, since he gets so much (deserved) hate for everything else during his tenure.

He certainly isn’t in the running for best, I just wanted to show him some love for a change.

Mugsy still has the numbers in regards to assists but lamelo is VASTLY more talented so it really depends on how you want to view it there since there is am argument for both ways.

My vote is for lamelo just because his accuracy, degree of difficulty and the flair he has is the most we’ve seen since magic and that’s not an understatement. He’s as good a passer as Jokic he just isn’t as tall so can’t see over everyone as easily.

I feel like this is a generational thing. I talk to younger people at work that assure me prime LeBron would roast prime MJ. Even though they’ve never sat through and watched a seasons worth of MJ’s playing, and only have as a reference YouTube clips.

    Best passer: Muggsy Bogues.
