Paolo averaged 27 pts 8.6 boards 4 assist in the playoffs… against a top 10 defensive team in his second season

Big men have always had an easier path to high overalls in 2k. Add in higher than average ratings in places big men don’t usually have and you get an inflated overall rating
It’s fine. Look we just need to expect that Wemby is going to get the hype without even leading his team to 30 wins and Paolo is going to have to earn it on the court. Not fair, but think of how sweet it will be when PB is a top 5 guy and the Spurs are still trying to get to .500.
We won’t have this issue once Paolo wins finals MVP this year

Wemby is already a really good player. Just as good as the rest of the 90-92 OVRs? Probably not, but among them he is clearly the most *popular*. 2k wants to incentivize people to buy their newest version so they’re gonna roll out the shiniest toys they think people want to play with.
2k ratings nowadays are just so inflated anyways. Bron was an 88 OVR in his second year, and he was probably better his rookie season than Wemby is rn.

I have no problem with that. Wemby is a freak. And I believe Paolo is not only fantastic but is set to take a leap this year.

If you replaced Paolo with Wemby on last years squad, they would be better with Wemby. Paolo is awesome but Wemby was probably a top 10 player in the second half of the season.
