With Diamond Sports and the NBA agreeing to a global deal, the Heat will return to Bally Sports Sun this season, an involved source says. Judge must sign off on deal in bankruptcy court, but that’s widely expected.

NBA’s TV setup is so fucked – you have to buy three services to watch it, league pass, your local station, and then cable for the national games blacked out on league pass and local.

NFL is headed that way too with streaming services getting games.

I have to think a lot of fans, like the types who would buy three services to watch their team, would be happy to pay one huge stupid fee to get everything in one place.

For whatever reason, my Comcast subscription no longer carries Bally, so I guess I’m SOL.

Edit: just googled it and Comcast only brought it back for the ā€œUltimate TVā€ package, so I’d have to upgrade my cable to watch the heat.

    Yar-har, yar-har, a pirate’s live for me!
