Matas is too raw. 20min a game is perfect. He’s got to improve his shot selection and his defensive motor before he can see more time. That is just typical rookie problems though. Next year he will be ready after pro reps and hitting the gym.
There’s no way this guy will not be in the top 3 of rookies if this front office is prioritizing development. I broke down Matas Buzelis on my channel as well. Completely agree with you !
I pay no attention to what the ESPN/Disney talking heads say. Dillingham is Mike Conley Jr.'s replacement. If Matas gets significant playing time and takes advantage of that time, then there's a chance he might win the ROY. Jordan , Elton Brand and Rose were the last three Bulls to win rookie of the year. Steve Francis was tied with Brand in 00 for the honor, also.This draft class wasn't all that great, to begin with. We will see what happens.
