Luka has a PO in 2026-27 which he will absolutely opt out of if he doesn’t sign an extension and if you look at the Lakers books and the cap increase projected on or before that offseason and it’s pretty easy to connect the dots on this
If it’s not Luka then it will be someone signing a max deal with us that summer

In the old CBA, id agree. But not with the new one. There are no incentives for leaving for another team other than the player losing their mind hating the place.
