He was clearly done as a starter/ rotation piece in the league. He should get an important role again in Europe at least.

It makes sense. He made a lot of money and talked openly about how sitting on the bench would ruin his career in NY. Now he can reduce his travel and start playing again.

Why was he done for NBA ? Defense ?
Makes sense for him to do it now. Don’t know how many people will remember it when it’s all said and done, but he did have some effective years in Orlando averaging 16-18 points a game as one of their only true outside shooting threats at the time.
