    Tidbits:

    On the team’s philosophy:

    >There seems to be this prevailing thought that it has to be some kind of all-or-nothing process, where if a team’s not a championship contender it needs to think about tanking or taking a step back that does nothing more than cheat the fans, the game, the players and the coaches. And it seldom works: see Philly, Washington, Brooklyn, Detroit, Charlotte, etc.

On the answers he’d like to hear on media day:

    >It’d always be neat to think about asking players what they expect their role and usage should and will be, rather than learning what the coaching staff thinks.

I’m rooting for loses and I know we are gonna get those loses

    See you in October

It’s not tanking. It’s just not being able to win games.

We have some good players, but let’s not confuse good players with good team. A good tram has good players that complement each other. A good team is well coached with a style that suits their strengths. I see no evidence yet that this team has players that fit together offense and defensively or that the coaching staff know what they are doing. This year, we will see what we have to build on. Would love to see a Brown trade plus someone else, not named Barnes, RJ, or Quickley to be moved for another ping pong ball in the upcoming draft.

I can’t believe with the 30th anniversary promotion and pending celebrations the FO is going to anything other than say the team is intent on being a ‘competitive’ this season. They need bums in the seats after the falloff last year. Of course that has nothing to do with whether the team has a winning record nor what decisions they may make at the trade deadline to improve the roster whether by tanking or making trades.
