Ja Morant’s ceiling is unlike anything we’ve ever had.

It’s hard to say anybody but Ja, but I think you could make an argument for GG.

  4. mopooooo

Edey technically has the highest ceiling, but a razor slim chance at reaching his ceiling.

Ja by a wide margin too… never had a talent of his calibre on the offensive side of the ball

  6. Imma be real, Jaren by a mile. POTENTIAL-WISE, Jaren was injured so much early on, but he was on insane trajectory. Like he was getting Giannis comps and shooting 40% from 3

It’s Ja. If we’re talking technically any player that’s played for Memphis then Derrick rose would count too I guess, but it would feel weird since he arrived after his potential already came and went. So, Ja.

It’s Ja.. but Pau deserves mention. He had his doubters early on but he was drafted on potential. He wasn’t necessarily expected to be a day one starter, but quickly earned the spot over another young player with “potential” (stro show) and then soon became the best player on the team.

Of course, he left on a trade demand and didn’t reach his full potential until after that, so yeah Ja is the winner, but Pau had a lot of raw talent too in his own way.

It is Ja and no one else comes close

Ja or Jaren, one can be MVP, the other can be Giannis

  12. Legpistons

OJ Mayo but 2nd after Ja. Wanna see if this is validated by others here too.

    Ja

    Pau

    JJJ

    Shareef

    In that order, IMO

The interesting question I have is on Marc. He was the best Grizzly of all time (as voted here and most would agree), so his potential had to be reasonably high, right? Even if he maxed out his potential, where would that place him against someone like Abdur-Rahim above, or a Conley, GG Jackson, OJ Mayo, Rudy Gay?
