The depth is bad. You are really praying the young core of max, dalton etc to outperform to save this depth but I only have hope for max and dalton really.

  2. letsgetfree

Same shit except maybe a healthy Jarred Vanderbilt and some rooks.

  3. Brilliant_Ebb_1787

Not a lot of depth. Outside of the 1st slots can barely trust any of the second slots to be reliable, healthy, or consistent. Doesn’t look great tbh lol.

  4. LynchMob187

Guards stay getting cooked. Letting go of Caruso and KCP still hurting

  5. CompetitiveSense2787

Mediocre. One injury this whole roster falls apart. Why o why did we break apart that 2019-2020 roster?

  6. bigball3r23

i’m not saying the team will play bad, i think they’ll be mediocre/good but almost everything has to go right if they’re to be good. everyone but bron & ad players need to take a leap and play significant minutes and on top of that everyone has to be healthy.

  7. Fwallstsohard

If vando can stay healthy, Hayes can blossom, gabe returns to down, and the rookie can contribute it’s not terrible.

That’s a lot of “ifs” though.

  8. nottherealstanlee

Lots of takes in here that’ll look silly soon. The roster is solid. Better than people give it credit. Not elite like Boston or arguably OKC, but better than most.

  9. Apollo4236

It shows how much we need vando to be healthy

  10. petestrumental

They’re not gonna be top 3, or even top 5 team, but I believe that they can definitely get out of the play in if they stick to the roster they ended last years season with. They aren’t great but definitely not bad.

  11. OWNAGE619

I don’t see any game changers coming off of the bench. Gabe vincent and Vando probably but that’s asking for a lot.

  12. Odd-Direction9452

Health aside, we are banking on a lot of things to break right. If Christie makes the leap we expect, Gabe has a resurgence, and Koloko emerges as a legit nba center then this is a better roster than last year. Otherwise, there are only 6 players here you can trust night to night.

  13. Late-Comedian1777

One of these guys has to become a reliable 3rd option. But I see us needing one more all star to really make the deep playoff push. We don’t have that right now

  14. InfiniRunner91

bronny is too high up the depth chart here

  15. Kobe_stan_

That’s 3 potentially viable NBA players in Max, Vincent and Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt is still hurt. Knecht is promising but unproven, and the rest have shown either nothing or barely enough to stay in the NBA all

  16. Danny_III

Starting role players are extremely flawed, depth is terrible.

  17. Upstairs-Strategy277

We need max to step up majorly! & dlow & gabe Vincent to build their trade stock

  18. Doncicfuturegoat

No, but I understand that the Russ trade fucked us and since then we had a good trade window in 2023. The summer 2023 was supposed to be good, however we didn’t improve the team.

Jeannie/Rob decided to lowball Caruso, they didn’t value him and we got no POA defender for a while before Vando. Those two plus Bron and AD made a brain dead decision to trade for WB and we completely shut down our championship window.

We need to live with it.

  19. White-Gravity

Yikes… there’s a lot of pressure on Knecht to perform

  20. Winter-Gur-9762

Is there any chance Lewis gets mins this year ?

  21. Winter-Gur-9762

Our only hope is if Austin, Rui, and DLO play better then last season, if not then it’s just gonna be the same season again.

  22. ColeHoops

I’m fine with it for now but we need a good defensive guard. If we meet up with Denver, Minnesota or OKC in the playoffs we are cooked. Shai, Ant and Jamal will have a field day.

  23. Relative_Wallaby1108

How many times are we going to have a conversation about this roster. I feel like this is the 3rd depth chart I’ve seen posted today. The roster is thin as fuck. The Lakers need to pray Knecht contributes in a meaningful way and Reaves somehow takes a leap. They need to trade for a real center ASAP. The roster management on this team has been a disaster for 3 seasons.

  24. Calibred2

Same roster as last year. Added a couple role players.

  25. IlGrandBoss

I trust JJ, the team still at best a 6 in the west, to be a top 3 team we need the bench to perform, Prince is going to be missed badly.

We’re 7-8 players deep, hoping Gabe will pick up his old self, Vando and Max are good bench players.

The question will be Wood and Hayes.

  26. moneylongerrr

I would swap Rui and Vanderbuilt , I like Vanderbuilt being a defensive and dirty work backbone for the starters. As well as Rui coming off the bench and ideally being able to spark a bit of offense

    *Chuckles* We’re in danger.

  28. Agreed_fact

Need a guard that can defend at a high level. DLo + AR have a clear ceiling no matter how much AD cleans up inside.

  29. Tangentkoala

It’s gonna be a fun roster to watch.

Will it win anything serious? Probably not.

  30. Jacoby_Brisket21

Not great at all… maybe play-ins

  31. misguidedxyouth

with injuries, it’s gonna be our starting 5 beginning to trade deadline 💀

  32. imnotknox

Get the feeling Bronny gonna have more minutes than Cam

  33. bruswazi

First round exit. Best case scenario, 2nd round.

  34. SnapsOnPetro24

Our Small Fowards are gonna get torched this year

  35. The_King_In_The_Bay

The whole season depends on if Vando has developed a corner 3.

  36. rickydcm

Depth is bad but I’m still curious to see how they play without Darvin Ham. It felt like and very noticeable last year that most of the loses they had was due to being out coached.

  37. shrinkinghubris

OOOFFF. I mean, just, Jesus fucking Christ, Rob Pelinka needs to be fired.

This is a .500 team, if we outperform then we maybe have a repeat of last year.

  38. Swap the Christians…

    Move Koloko to C (7’1″ 230 lbs)

Move Wood to PF (6’8″ 214 lbs)
