Stop kidding with the knick fans again he is not it chris. GO KNICKS
He had surgeries . He's very athletic. The Knicks has a new big man coach , Mark Bryant . He knows he's starting and will practice and play with the first unit. He may break out.
"He's starting game one"
If you say so… booyah!
Give the kid a chance
I hope so but let's give him a shoot ! Let's go Knicks 🎉
Sims was a deer 🦌 in headlights as a center, hopefully he proves hes a dog now
Johnathan Sams is just some mailman that y’all got as a backup center
Mbappe is money taking penalties
I don’t mind him taking penalties
So farza fans this is just the beginning
Ya confusing the fans lol . First we don’t need him then he’s now a hidden gem ??
Mark Bryant's arrival to New York means Thibs and Leon have faith in this kid or neither Bryant nor Sims would (still) be here.
Thibs' gotta let Jericho shoot more; run plays for him (too); feed him in the iso-post (few times he's driven it in against his opponent, he's looked absolutely Giannis-like!); push the pace ahead (he can out sprint almost any 5 in the league but Knicks were LAST in pace last year); no one's lobbing him (or Mitch) the ball since Quickly, RJ and Quinton Grimes left; JB seems unable (or unwilling) to lob, appears afraid of threading the needle or risking tough passes into the paint (that or he doesn't believe in ever throwing the ball off the screen back to the roller!); Sims has to be more aggressive about getting offensive rebounds and then going straight back up to score or get fouled (he's actually become a decent free throw shooter at 66%-75%) and; coach has to let him play through mistakes instead of yanking him out as soon as he makes one or he will never grow!
Should acclimate after 10-15 games as a starter and then be able to get 6-8 pts and rebs + a block a game every nite in 20-25 consistent and regular (rather than random) mins eventually working himself up to 10-12 pts and rebs + 2 blocks a game in 25-30 mins in the future (assuming this works), but Knicks have to use him first! If ANY player is never put in a position to score or even allowed to have the ball in his hands to shoot (both Jericho and Mitch had the lowest usage rate of ALL players in the NBA above a threshold of playing time two seasons ago), then he cannot and never will score at all, period.
Pissed ihart off enough to leave! Thibs gotta unleash Jericho Sims! If they played him at the P4 with guys his own size once in a while, they could lob him all day as NO ONE his own size can jump with him and he'd be a rebounding machine (like he was two years when he played next to ihart during a stretch of games, the two of them together on the floor grabbing 40% of all offensive rebounds…). Instead, we are UNDERUTILIZING this kid's potential by not playing to his strengths and ONLY playing him against guys 3-5 (even 6) inches taller where his amazing vertical leaps allows him to remain competitive with them rather than dominant as he'd be at the 4.
PS: Playing him next to Kolek would do wonders at the offensive end….
I feel like alongside Jalen mikal Og and Randle sims could beijg a mix of athleticism and defense plus some offense which may bring a different dynamic to the first unit
