  1. Another shitty year coming to PDX, oh well hey it is what it is…………..Rebuilds suck, they suck more when you're talent pool is limited.

  2. when are we goin 2 get an actual nba head coach. we need a hard nose coach who knows x's an o's an defense. chauncey billups isnt the guy for this job.

  3. In what world would Donovan play the 4? Give me that guys media pass, id make better use of it

  4. Wow! So happy that Chauncey has been developing the last 3 years. Sure, it means the blazers were one of the worst-coached teams in the league during that time, but itโ€™s just cool Chauncey was able to take that time for his personal growth ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Out of adversity, growth. Stoked to see who steps up and levels up this season. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅ

  6. Chauncey is a good dude and brings so much to the table outside of head coach.
I hope we can keep him around as an assistant coach, but if not, I'm glad he's been given the opportunity to learn and grow in Portland.

  7. I feel like Chauncey could be a great assistant coach, but in terms of in-game adjustments and gameplans I don't think he's built for that head spot. Great guy for the team, though, they all love him.

  8. Maybe not make a guy who hasnt had extensive minutes in their young career play non stop 40 plus minutes into a massive injury stubbong their devolopment…….

  9. First I just want to say that Chauncey has done an amazing job of keeping the team motivated and playing hard in spite of everyone knowing they are being setup to lose last season and likely this one as well. Whether he is a good coach beyond that is impossible to tell from what he has had to deal with, but I sure hope we get to find out next season when this team should be coming together.
I will say I am somewhat disappointed that he seemed to just accept the premise that they are going to be a bad team this season. I realize it is likely true, but I'd rather see the coach expecting to win. Even as far as guaranteeing a much improved and competitive team. At least publicly and to his players. No excuses!

  10. I'm usually the first one to point out when Chauncey messes up, but I'll always say he's got to be a great locker room coach. The way he's able to get these young players to play hard, no matter how badly we're getting beat up, is incredible. He has been getting better with strategy and in game adjustments I've found as well. I'm ok with giving him a few more years to prove himself as these young players get better.
