The Truth Behind John Wall’s Failed NBA Return (RANT!)

The Truth Behind John Wall’s Failed NBA Return (RANT!)

John Wall is one of the most electrifying players of his generation and is one of the best players, if not the best player in Wizards history, but he can’t get a job in the NBA. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE! The Wizards should do him right and have John Wall sign back with them on a vet min deal, so that he can end his career where it all began.

  1. I will never forgive Leonsis for blackballing Wall. Dude was in a rough spot after an injury and losing his mom. He needed support after he carried the team for almost 10 years but was instead shipped off and shunned. I personally would love to see him back in a Wizards uniform to be a mentor to our young guards, especially Bub Carrington. Lastly, I will gladly be your attorney if anyone wants to debate if Wall got Beal paid or not. That was extremely clear once it became "Beal's" team when Wall was shipped off.

  2. I'm a redline native (301!) as well lol and I'm so glad I found this channel. Thank you for the great content!

  3. I'm a DC native. John Wall is maybe the most overhyped prospect and over rated players of the last 25 years. He didn't get Ariza paid, Kobe did. Otto Porter Jr finally looked like a solid NBA player when he got away from Wall.

The Wiz as a whole are one of the most mismanaged franchises in America sport from top to bottom so not all the blame is due to John Wall or Beal, but they deserve some blame.

  4. PSA to all Wizards fans

Let the John Wall fandom go. While he was a special player, the man hasn’t played 50 games since 2018. John Wall was never an efficient shooter, he was a blur in transition and had a gift for playmaking. With the injuries he lost his athleticism and was never the same player again.

Even post injuries the Wizards rewarded him with a max contract, they don’t owe him anything. Wizards stuck with John through his nights at the club, calling out teammates on live television, and ultimately we never made an ECF.

John was 30+ when he did the gang sign video. Going through a hard time or not there’s no excuse for that when you’re the franchise PG. That video is the reason he’s not in the league, he’s not blackballed. He did it to himself.

You can’t want a rebuild then cry for a 33 year old to rejoin your team. Appreciate what he was and let it go.

  5. John Wall never became a great veteran on the bench…
If a players over 32, the dude should at least have value in practice and being a good teammate on the bench… John Wall was neither….

Look at UD Haslem in Miami, dude finished all the gum and Gatorade on the bench but dude fires his team and not afraid to praise and call out his teammates… And dudes great during team practice… He defends like it's an NBA playoffs… He was useful to the team with all those years…
John Wall had the max and fell off the NBA….

  6. The reason I can even say the word “wizards” is because of John wall lol this is a great reason to be mad at the wizards for letting such talent go to waste

  7. I'm going to say this and I don't care if y'all get mad at me.

The way Wizards fans carry on about John Wall, you would think he was Steph Curry, Luka Doncic and Shai Gilegous-Alexander all rolled up into one!

The most points Wall averaged in a season in his career was 23ppg, 10 assists and 4.5 rebounds. Which on the surface is good BUT he did it on 45-32-80% shooting splits and averaged 4.1 turnover per game! In fact, 45% was his highest efficiency rating in his career.

His average efficiency rating over his career is 18ppg, 8.9 assists on 43-32-77 shooting splits with 3.7 turnover per game!

Please stop acting like he is the second coming of Michael Jordan and led the Wizards to multiple championships.

He was a good player but I think your nostalgia over him has clouded your vision over what his record really was.

He was good, but not amongst the great.

  8. The NBA is not a league. It’s an association. Players entertainment value to these owners is all that matters.
like Gil Arenas, his off the court antics and persona outweigh his entertainment value. Next!
