The contract alone lets you know they not going after Marcus Smart unless they can package Mitchell Robinson with a player like Landry Shamet or Cam Payne and Tyler Koleck. They won’t trade Deuce the whole point is to try to replace the production of Donte off the bench which will be hard to do.
Then there’s the point of replacing Mitchell Robinson’s production at center as a backup unless they believe the other center they got in the KAT trade is their guy. He is a good pick up.
